What is a "true fan" anyways? poo on that! i like liz. I consider myself a fan (I would never say a "true fan" because that connotates music-snob-elitism in my book). I loved her first three albums. If everything she records from here on out is Shit, I will still consider myself a liz phair fan just because i enjoy what she's done so far. a good example to compare this to is jane siberry. i think everything she put out in the 80s is brilliant. however, all of the albums she released after that are pretty much unlistenable to me. but totally consider myself a jane fan. i cant pretend i like something just because i like what that artist has done up to that point though i do recall a couple years ago when someone on this list said that they'd even love listening to liz fart on her guitar strings. ha! point is, people listen differently. If you fall into the "farting on guitar" category, then that's fine. im like that with other artists (e.g., tori). but ya know, it isn't cool when you say other people shouldn't consider themselves fans because they don't feel the same. steve. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V5 #255 ************************************
