Not like top 40 would play new Liz anyway, but at least Tori Amos is coming out with something new tomorrow. That's a huge relief. _________________________________________________________________ Get a speedy connection with MSN Broadband. Every time a turn around Tori has a new CD coming out. Liz should work with her, maybe than Liz would put out a CD every other year. Patty Schemel from HOLE was the drummer (she has now permanently joined the band) and she did a great job..it wasn't quite the same though, but they still switched instruments, and Patty played bass for a few songs. I got to hang out with Will and Roddy (and patty and jone, but only for a minute) and they were so unbelievably nice. their musical taste absolutely matches mine - like exactly - it was just soo cool - they were totally living like a dream. Roddy said he has basically made a career out of touring and supporting his absolute favorite bands (Go-Go's, HOLE, Breeders etc) it was such a great experience i can't stop listening to their albums now - it was probably the best show i've seen since the Breeders... they were one part Pixies, one part B-52's and then just so totally original and cute and quirky. *SIGH* then i get home and i find out both guys are GAY!!! I had NO CLUE! (okay..i kinda figured the one guy - but not Roddy!!). i now have two new crushes. anyway - if anyone gets the chance - check them out. it was such a fun, positive vibe that night...just one of those shows i guess. and patty looked absolutely fantastic - a little nervous at times...but great. i don't know if the crowd realized it was actually Patty Schemel..at one point someone yelled out "Play 'Alone in the Grass'!!" and Jone said "Um..we can't because the NEW GIRL doesn't know that one yet...but..maybe we could play something she does know....like um... Miss World.." and no one laughed..everyone kinda looked around like "HUH? What does she mean?" anyway, i'm rambling...i just gotta express my enthusiasm about how fantastically fun this band is. they would be the PERFECT openers for a new Bangles tour.... steve did you end up going?? laters! dan NP - Seasick - Imperial Teen ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Oct 2002 10:06:39 -0500 From: Jase Subject: Re: support-system-digest V5 #218 Jen Lott wrote: >A new Liz is definitely due now what with all this crap out like Avril >Lavigne and Britney killing the airwaves. Interestingly enough, Liz is working with the Matrix, which is the songwriting/production team responsible for all of Avril Lavigne's singles to date. >Not like top 40 would play new Liz anyway Stranger things have happened...
