She has a really small role and her character is beyond obnoxious. She did a good job in her part but it was't like I was "ohmigod, it's LIZ!!!" because her character is so annoying that when she pops up you just want her to get her hair caught in the paper shredder or something. after the movie i was thinking "i could totally see liz doing a sitcom and playing the bitchy coworker everyone loves to hate." Yikes. Anyways, Robin Tunney was fantastic, as was the guy from Oh Brother (can't remember his name). I thought the movie was very original and entertaining. it had both dark and romantic comedy, drama, mystery, run-lola-run type suspense, fantasy...all different genres all meshed into one movie. but it came across as really clever and unique--not annoying or overwhelming. Fox about a brother-sister rock band?<< someone else wrote: >> I think that movie was called runaways and I believe Jodie Foster was in it also.<< different movie. that was a movie that had jodie foster and cherie currie. currie and jett were in the band called the runaways, but the movie was called something else. was it called 'Foxes'? i think it was, but i really can't remember. understandable mistake, though. anyway, it is very funny how something can go so awry. someone starts by talking about singers in movies, then someone else mentions that joan jett is making a movie, then someone else mentions 'light of day', then someone else confuses that with 'Foxes', because another member of joan jett's band was in *that* movie, and next we're talking about jodie foster movies. so, speaking of jodie foster movies, i saw 'the dangerous lives of altar boys' today, and it was really good. no car crashes or gunfights, no damsels in distress or vegetable wagons being knocked over by cars gone wild. but just a really good movie about kids in a catholic high school and all the shit they can get into. it's also *not* about priests abusing kids or anything remotely related, despite the title. and lastly, i saw 'cherish' last week. liz was good, but only in it for maybe 3 minutes of screen time. fortunately, it was a good movie either way, so her being in it and being good in it was just gravy. it closed in d.c. after just one week, so if you haven't seen it yet, it's probably not going to open in other cities, and will probably close pretty soon wherever it's still playing, so catch it if you can. o ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V5 #130 ************************************
