Just wanting to know the basis for the "Poe sucks" thing... And how exactly is her music not original? In my opinion she ranks right beside Liz and Tori. Anyhow - that was a really interesting post, claiming that she "SUCKS!!" and "she is just not original or anything" without anything to back it up. If you think Poe sucks, thats fine, but you don't have to be so forward... it's an opinion, not a fact. Have you even listened to "Hello" or "Haunted", or are you just mad for some reason? Let me guess, you wrote the entire "Haunted" album first in your mind... she just beat you to the computer to record it? That was harsh, but I'm too lazy to backspace... So I apologize. So what is it that you think "SUCKS!!" about her anyway? Whatever. For those that asked about anyone putting up files of Liz & Sheryl on Leno, you can grab them at http://suprnova.lunamorena.net Might be a good idea to use a download manager though... something that will resume partial downloads. We've been getting and processing a lot of requests for the file since we put it up last week. ========================================== - -Michael http://suprnova.lunamorena.net "You were so baroque, all of those words, just to tell me no..." -Amy Ray "Because I SAID so!" -Charles Manson =========================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 01 May 2002 23:32:09 -0700 From: Kenneth Lee Subject: Re: :o) Katie Brown wrote: >>>>Wow, look at all of the people who have been posting >to the list lately! The guitar on the Tennessee quarter has only 5 strings, while most guitars have 6 (or 12). Except for that guy in the Champs, who apparently plays a guitar with NINE strings. Liz Phair was soo much to say and her guitar playing is fantastic. she is witty and intelligent and someone that you would want as a friend. Some one who is true to herself. I haven't. I've read recent interviews with both K and T where the question came up about any sort of tension or rivalry when TM was together and if that had anything to do with the break up and they both seemed pretty confused/offended by it and chalked it up to the media just wanting a story. you know, the whole "pitting two women--sisters, even better--against each other" BS. i've heard them both say that everyone knew the muses were K's band, and T left because she had lots of more songs wanting to come out of her when the muses started out. And i guess a lot of folks assume that would have lead to a fight or conflict or something which is silly. but i do feel like TM was a band where the members totally "fed" off each other in that sleater-kinneyish sorta way...but to me it was always kristin's voice and guitar and david's drums that were so perfect together, not kristin and tanya. sure, i really love the albums when tanya was a muse, but when it all comes down to it (for me anyways), the muses were kristin and david. all the other musicians who were ever in the lineup added their own special flare, but i feel like kristin and dave were the core. steve. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V5 #90 ***********************************
