Derek, the Liz you fell in love with *is* gone forever. The insecure, 20-something that made girlysounds doesn't exist any more. She's had success, fame, and money (of a sort), and a marriage and child. How could she not be a different person? Her low productivity I attribute to her abilities, not her laziness or lack of commitment. Some people just don't have 45 minutes of quality songwriting in them. If you need more, find some other artists that appeal to you, there are plenty out there. And as for selling out, sure, she's no Tori Amos on that front, but everyone in the biz is in it for money as well as communication, expression, etc. Let her have her modest success. She's not Mariah Carey, after all. I just addressed this to you because you gave me a good opening, this is really for everyone who's spent the last four years griping about Liz.
