Subject: London babe-fest Last night i had the pleasure of seeing Tanya Donelly and opening was Mary Lorson. Ok, that's good, right?! well, not only was Mary opening, but also playing with Tanya, percussion, keyboards and backing vocals. To add to the girly action, Tanya joined Mary on one of her songs too, which woke the early arriving members of the audience up. Tanya's set was, maybe, a bit flat! it might have been the sound though. Obviously it wasn't as raucous as a Belly set, even with the inclusion of 'slow dog' (which lacked bite). Still, it's good to have TD back after the baby duties... ... talking of which. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Mary Lorson in the afternoon before and she greeted me by giving me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. When i asked how she was, she patted her tummy and said 'expecting'. Seems the little Lorson is due in July, so get to see Mary soon, before she goes on maternity leave. Mary is doing a free gig in London on saturday (2nd March) at Notting Hill Arts Centre, onstage about 6ish. get there earlier as there's a girl called Antonia opening and she's worth checking out. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 1 Mar 2002 04:49:03 -0800 (PST) From: Easter Subject: To start some discussion.... What are people's opinions of this year's Grammies? For some reason, it seems like it gets more boring every year. I only liked three performances from Wednesday nite: Bob Dylan, Indie Arie, and Nelly Furtado. A big wave to all, especially Craig and KB.
