"Lost Somewhere Between The Earth And My Home" is good... I tend to listen to "What Part Of Get Thee Gone Don't You Understand?" a little more. I don't listen to "Butch" as much as I should though. Of course, the Scarnella album that Carla and Nels put out recently is good as well.. Of course so wasn't Ethyl Meatplow... of course, its all just Carla's voice.......thats what gets me. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 01 Feb 2002 13:34:17 -0500 From: Dan MacDonald Subject: New Breeders - figures.. Well...here's a small sample of what we'll be getting with Liz soon - The new Breeders album just got bumped from its February release date to April/May. How long do we have to wait for this damn thing!??! 9 years!! NINE bloody years....I need a fix soon, or I'm gonna blow!! dan. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 31 Jan 2002 10:51:44 -0800 (PST) From: Al Madrid Subject: Non-Liz, but worth mentioning...Rosie Thomas Hey, I just bought her new album "When We Were Small" (I think it's her debut album too) and I think it is goddamn beautiful. Has anyone heard of her? I discovered her while I was browsing at Fingerprints in Long Beach CA. Funny story, I guess, in that her album was displayed in the New Releases section of the store and I'd been looking to discover some new cool music so I grabbed it without even knowing what was on the album thinking I'd be a bit daring and take a chance. What the hell? So I take it up to the counter and hand it to the behind-the-counter guy and as soon as he sees it he says, "Oh, that's what is playing now. It's a beautful album" So I listen to what's playing and by the first song on the album, I'm thinking, "OK, I like it." Well, I love it when I take a chance like that and it pays off. It's a friggin beautiful album. It is very melodic and sweet all the way through. I highly recommend it. Anyway, I know a lot of you are like me and a part from finding out the latest in regards to the most important subject of this mailing list, I also like to skim through the list to find out about other great music so I thought I'd pass this along. Sorry for rambling. That's all folks! Al :) Great stuff seeking new owners in Yahoo!
