I have had times recently where i've been completely overwhelmed with school, work, and trying to lead some sort of social life so i know when there's not a lot of room to squeeze in other projects. Have you actually made the master copy of the CD? Because what I took from the postings about the phairities CD is that you've put it together already. Well, i have a CD burner and time on my hands this semester and i'm sure that there are other people out there on the list in the same situation. Anyone? So all you would have to do is make one copy and hand it over to one person with time to make some copies for other people. That way we can get these CDs flowing on the list. I'd be willing to put together a tree (i've never done anything like this before, but i'm a quick learner. i just need to be told how it is done) and burn initial copies. Obviously i would need to get a copy first myself. Or if there's someone else out there who is a better choice than i am then they can get this going as soon as they get a copy. Again, anyone? You mentioned that you had good versions of everything (which i don't) and I don't have a fast connection to download everything or i'd try to make one myself. I'm sure everyone on the list appreciates you putting this together (i completely do) but i'd really like to l have it to listen to. I've been looking forward to this since i haven't heard all of these rare songs. At least think this over. I know time sometimes seems to fly but i've (we've) been waiting a really long time. I know this is my first post. i've always wanted to participate but have been a little shy. Since i just had to switch all my lists to my new e-mail address i thought i should start joining the fun. After all i'm subscribed to this thing. :) i've been a fan of liz's since i saw the supernova video on 120 minutes way back then. time for me to go now. hope to speak to you all again soon. - --ree _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 Oct 2001 11:13:01 -0400 From: Dan MacDonald Subject: new le tigre anyone pick up the new le tigre yet? whatcha all think? I'm liking it soo far. It's a fun listen.. :) well..it's always "fun" in quotations when yer listening to Kathleen Hanna - but whatever - cool shit. I'm on an L7 kick right now, and whenever i get on a kick of anyone - it's really hard to incorporate new stuff into my life... like - i just got the fucking Le Tigre CD - yet I am listening to L7's Live.Omaha to Osaka. go figure. I think it's hilarious the way they talk to their audiences though... haha - - "We'll get to yer fucking precious little 'shitlist' when we're good and FUCKIN ready!" hahaha god i love 'em!! So funnY!! anyway, just wondering what the reactions to the new Le Tigre are? Political? not political enough? pretentious? Not pretentious enough? Fun? Not fun enough? Sorry it's non-LIz - I'd do this on the old Le Tigre list - but the conversation rarely deviates from "girls are better than boys because.." or "girls and boys should be segregated because..." type discussions that are usually found in 14 year olds - so the two Le tigre fans whose opinion I actually consider worthy are on here - Jase and Steve...whatcha think??? talk to ya laters, PS - BELLY PEOPLE - did you get yer cds yet??? let me know when ya do :) Dan. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Oct 2001 10:02:02 +0800 From: "Jaimee Kudrle" Subject: PJ Harvey So I made this PJ Harvey b-sides and rarities mix, and in the spirit of his Dan-ness, I am offering to make copies for anyone interested.
