Hmm..hopefully, but anymore - I'm not getting my hopes up. I was in Toronto back in May and there was a gay film fest there too - and Julie Johnson was one of the "big" movies playing at a prime time spot. I wanted to go so bad - but I'm way too homophobic to be seen at a phag fest. JUST KIDDING!! HAHAHAHA no - I really wanted to go - but we couldn't make it. But ya - the scary thing about this movie is - I have been hearing about it playing small film fests all over the place for like a year and a half - yet STILL no damn major release. I don't get it at all. JUST RELEASE IT, GODDAMMIT!! And that goes for everything. I am so sick and tired of calculated moves on the part of record and movie companies. It's like they all sit in a board room and say: "Okay..we got this great album, (or movie) finished and done - completed with cover art. How about we NOT release it for about....hmm...8 months..just for the fuck of it?" I mean, I know, I know - they do have priorities - I mean, the N'Sync album is more important than the Cyndi Lauper or Liz Phair album - because people won't give a shit about N'Sync in a year - but they will still buy Cyndi or Liz...so the good ones get bumped. Then again - is Liz even done the album? Fuck - I highly doubt it. Depressing shit eh? As for Garbage - I heard about 5 songs..and I don't really know what to think. The songs don't seem as...I don't know.. complete. It's kind of weakly produced too. It just doesn't sound that..decent.. Like, with Garbage - for me - the biggest part was their music - the production was SOOOOO tight and original and amazing - but this to me sounds like.. "Okay..let's try for something - " and it comes off as amateur. But I will give it a full listen when it comes out.. My biggest anticipation this year is concentrated on the new BREEDERS album. I can't fucking wait!! and the new Madonna Greatest Hits - HA! - Just joking again. anyway, see you soon, Dan. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2001 16:43:35 -0500 From: "Drew Schultz" Subject: A question for everyone. Hey Everyone, I just thought I would ask a question to maybe get back to Liz during the great wait. What song got everyone to start listening to Liz? Personally for me it was Polyester Bride. I heard other stuff, but that was what got me hooked. I think I remember hearing Never Said when I was younger, but that was a long time ago. I go now, Drew _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #241 ************************************
