Before this the biggest problem on my mind (give or take) was a few sharks off the coast of Florida. Thankfully I know of no personal losses at the WTC or Pentagon, although our company, Verizon, may have lost 10 people, we just don't know yet. Through all this I have been able to maintain dry eyes for the most part, but the thing that got to me most was watching the firefighters going back and forth in shifts and touching hands like the football players do when they come out on the field. Being an ex-firefighter, that absolutely moved me to tears. Here's to all the EMT's, firefighters, police and emergency workers in NYC and elsewhere....our hats go off to you for your tireless and selfless determination to help your fellow man. If I could join you guys in the rubble I surely would. to all on this list....be safe. DarkSide oftheMoon "I didn't think it was possible, but this both sucks and blows." It's funny because at the time it seemed like such a stretch - like "no way will it take THAT long !! Hahahaha very funny." and now - we are all crossing our fingers and HOPING that it is early 2002 and not even later...geesh. HOw hard is it to believe that almost the same amount of time between Whip-Smart and WCSE went by - between WCSE and the new one?? Is that weird or what? And you know, as much as it is a long wait for the new one - it still (for some reason) doesn't seem half as long a wait this time around. The time between Whip-Smart and WCSE seemed like a bloody eternity... i think i am more patient now. Time is flying by so fast - I swear, I still sometimes think WCSE is still Liz's "new" album - and it just got released last summer.... but no - almost 4 years?!?!? Come on!!! Also - in the spirit of "giving" - since we all want to start walking forward rather than gloaming in all this sadness about New York/Washinton - I too will make a CD for anyone who wants one - Mind you - it's not Liz - which sucks - but BELLY!! :) Same deal when I did my Veruca Salt CD thingie..I just have so many cd singles, EPs, stuff like that - all which have some great B-sides, and I compiled them onto one CD. here is the list: Broken Spaceman (my fave!) Diamond Rib Cage Baby's ARm Dream on me Trust In Me John Dark Thief Are You Experienced? HOt Burrito #1 It's Not Unusual Dancing Gold Sexy S Sweet Ride I am pretty sure that is it...the cd is actually at my boyfriend's house right now :) haha but ya - if anyone wants a copy - I'll work out a trade - it plays just like a GREAT Belly album - - I'll make you a copy in exchange for a blank CD and postage - OR a burned copy of whichever BELLY single has the LUNAR remix of "Full Moon Empty HEart" - I have been looking everywhere for this song and cannot find it - I even resorted to trying to download it and i can't find it!..so if you have this, I believe it is the "Full Moon Empty Heart" single..or maybe the "Judas My Heart" single..not sure...either way - it's the LUNAR MIX of "Full Moon..." - burn me a copy - mail it to me - and i'll burn you a b-side compilation thingie and pay for the postage myself.. anyway, if anyone is interested, let me know :) Steve - I already posted this to yer swooning loons list and got someone, I really don't mind making up - got a nice fast CD burner.. :) At any rate - anyone drop me an email if yer interested, dan. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Sep 2001 19:05:47 -0400 From: drpeak@juno.com Subject: Al's E-mail In response to "Al's E-mail" responding to my missive from earlier: I agree whole heartedly. What ARE we to do? Besides NOTHING. (The problem is not going away...) D.R.Peak Re: I'm riding the fence on what should be done. I feel one way one second and another way the next but in you scenario you've left out one important item that should be placed in your house. In there with your serial killer has to be some innocent people, including children, who despise this serial killer but cannot get out of the house... Now what should be the police response? ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less!
