I just happened to be using VirtualDub while the 100 Greatest Women in Rock and Roll came on VH1, so I captured the bit with Liz Phair in it. I made a ~12MB mpeg 1 file that is of pretty good quality (320x240) and am in the process of making a smaller file for you modem users. If you guys want me to make it available, I can do that. Just let me know. Also, if anyone wants to offer to host it on their ftp, let me know and I'll send it to you. I'm sure most of you have seen this, but I do remember someone complaining that they didn't have vh1. - --- "permanentally diversified" dennis www4.ncsu.edu/~djkim2 ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2001 11:01:15 -0500 From: "mesmerizing" Subject: CD trades, anyone? hey lizsters- i've been organizing my cd's. i have come to the conclusion that i have frightfully few liz bootlegs. i've got plenty on tape, but not cd. anyone care to trade? here's what i have to bargain with on CD: * phairplay (slightly similar to jase's phairities he's putting together, but with a few more live versions of album songs) * glory -- 1995 in new york * shank hall, milwaukee -- 1995 * girlysounds * sessions at west 54th street * lounge ax 1999 i'm really interested in cd bootlegs from her most recent tour. *snort* yeah, i know that's not really RECENT. i'd particularly LOVE any boots of any boston-area shows. i have wellesley on tape and i'd love to get it on cd. and i had a cd boot from portland, maine -- but the cd doesn't work anymore. i'd love to get that again. please email me offlist if you want to trade, or if you want to see track listings. sandra ps: i also have a TON of old 97's stuff (pretty much every song they've ever played), and some wilco (last lounge ax show, rare b-sides), if anyone's interested in that. ; ) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2001 13:02:16 -0500 From: "mesmerizing" Subject: one more thing: specific request fyi: i'm also *really* interested in the providence, RI show from may 2, 1999. i've got some friends i took to that show that i'm sure would love a copy of the very show they saw. they're not converts -- yet! thanks!! sandra ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2001 15:01:16 -0500 From: "John Farrar" Subject: Re: one more thing: specific request Can someone please tell me how to get off this list? Do the writers of this site know anything? http://www.amiannoyingornot.com/view.asp?ID=1596 Not entirely accurate, that's for sure. Go vote for Liz as being "not annoying," because about 50% believe otherwise.
