[Dan MacDonald ] Re: Liz here..in LA [NegSplitz@aol.com] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 07 Aug 2001 10:21:42 -0400 From: Dan MacDonald Subject: Brilliances hi pipples and other persons, The Clone Wars sounds intriguing as all HELL. Do you guys know - I still ONLY saw The Phantom Menace ONCE - when we all saw it at the theatre. For real. I love it love it - and I want to see it again - but for some reason, whenever I contemplate renting it - I think "No..save this..." weird eh? So ya - that's that... I'm excited for the new Star Wars - because A) It's a new star wars - and B) The dude playing the young darth vadar is a fuckin HOTTIE and a half! On to our cottage adventure - shit..only 8 more days and we're going!! now - when I think of "GLAM" - i think of bands like David Bowie, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Gary Glitter, Kiss (even thought they were new glam). I think of silver vests on girls - lots of bracelets, huge sunglasses with blue tints, and track marks. I think of guys in platforms and eye liner, painted nails and glitter on their cheeks. I have a shit load of glam-esque bands on CD, so I'll bring those - as for the track marks - I can't help anyone - my heroin days are over. (As a side note - I can hear my parents counting out the EXACT number of days from now until Christmas, in the other room. I have no idea why - but the conversation is lasting WAAY too long) Anyway - my vote is for 2 kegs as well. And double the amount of weed from last year - since we ran out and that is a No-no-no. Zion - I think u and I should begin preparing some surprises for the haunted night. Hahaha imagine if we all had like - a "slasher" theme??? Think about it - "5 college kids spend a quiet week at a secluded cottage in Noelville..what they didn't know was that lurking in the woods, just feet from their cottage - was evil itself..." Okay, i'm kidding..but fuck - does anyone have a ouija board??? I swear, i've wanted a ouija board since I was a kid and never fucking got one - and anyone who did have one would be like "no..let's not play with it.." Karmen and I have something to work on too... There was something else I had to tell you guys... fuck - it was important too...shit..something we had to bring..or pack..that we didn't last year, and we made a note to make sure we pack it this year.. (guess we lost the "note"). Fuck what was it... OH! Fire wood!! Lisa - this is really stupid - but the supply of fire wood is good right? I totally forget if we had to bring it last time - just adding it to the list. Could you imagine - we get there - and find there is no wood for the fire - and then 2 minutes later it's me and Ian making our way out to the woods with a fucking axe?? That won't happen. Actually- that wouldn't happen. It would be karmen and Faustine going out to the woods with an axe, while me, ian and Lisa sip on big fancy feminine drinks and chuckle about how cool we are for not having to do anything. Anyway, what was the name of the clubhouse in dirty dancing again??? shit...i've seen the movie a million fucking times..what was it?? We kept making reference last year... also - remember when we thought of the "DIRTY DANCING 2000" idea?? How it would be Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze - today - but they are now both cops - and at the end - Jennifer Grey is on top of a burning building, and she has to do the "jump" again (like how she did off the stage in the first one at the end) but this time - off a 7 story building - and Swayze is down below saying "I'll catch you...I'll catch you.." and then the TECHNO version of "The Time of My LIfe" starts up - she jumps and he catches her - in that perfect pose - above his head...and all is well.. the cops save the day and utilize their dancing skills. You know - i can tell we were stoned when we made that up - because it flat out isn't funny. Also - Zion - have you heard the new Foxy Brown?? Fantastic!! it's called "CANDY" and it features Kelis... you gotta hear it.. see you soon persons - or as faust called us - Brilliances!! hahahahahaah i love it. Call moi please..i think a major 5-way call is in order before our trip.. anyway, bye Dan. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 07 Aug 2001 10:28:10 -0400 From: Dan MacDonald Subject: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! OH GOD!! you guys i am sooo sorry!!i just realized i posted a message to the liz list that was supposed to be sent to my friends - i am SOOO SORRY!!!! oh fuck..i did this before - it's the way my email is set up - whenever i post a message to this list i type in LIZ PHAIR - and whenever i send an email to all my friends at once i type in "BITCHES" and it sends to all of them... so i think i just got mixed up and typed in LIZ PHAIR and hit send...good god.. okay - so disregard my message about camping and stuff... shit..sorry guys... talk about off topic. Viper Room)..Anyway..get us the details if you can..I can't see her anywhere else ..album-wise..and so a live performance would be great..And in terms of ticket price, which has been a topic here lately (what else to talk about?)..What would you pay to see her? Front row? We paid $350+ for U2/PJ and it was worth every, darn, last penny.. Cheers, Wes ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #204 ************************************
