I just picked up their CD from the radio station the other day and gave it a listen - and I laughed my ASS off!!! It is HILARIOUS!! It is called "Patio-a-GO-GO" - and it was made in 99 - but it is like, all in the style of Nancy Sinatra - "These boots are made for walking.." Very 60's girl songs - in the key of Valley of the Dolls. Like a combo of the Bangles, with B52s lyrics..Nancy Sinatra, the Shangri-La's - all in one!!! THey seem like a joke band for the most part - names like Honey Sugar, Holly Sugar... etc... very campy, but really amusing - and the "twins" wrote all their own songs... so it has SOME validity. Just curious if anyone knew much about them, it really is an entertaining song... "Sam Shepard's gonna make me lose my mind..." - just really weird choruses. Anyway, bye byes, Dan. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Aug 2001 06:06:35 -0400 (EDT) From: "Dennis J. I heard a song called "Cars and Parties" by Edith Frost on the local NPR station yesterday. She sounds a lot like our Liz. Edith has her own website where you can download an MP3 of "Cars and Parties" and make the comparison for yourself. http://www.dragcity.com/mp3/frostcarsnp.mp3 Turns out Edith is from Chicago, too. She's signed with indie label DragCity. I'm guessing Liz was a big influence on her. ;-) - -Bob Kosturko ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #200 ************************************
