I mean, it had to be a life-changing even, like losing your virginity?<< first off, "Losing your virginity" is very overrated. ;) One of the best concerts i've been to was Melissa Ferrick. Didn't know too much about her beforehand, and now she is one of my favorites. I wrote about three paragraphs on how this was kinda a life changing experience (it wasn't...it was more like an experience that helped me make some impt realizations about myself), but then i realized i was revealing way too much to a buncha folks i don't know too well :) so it'll keep :) Most expensive concert? Lilith Phair #3. $80 plus all the ticketmaster "convenience" charges via internet, etc., so two tickets cost me around 200 bucks. for liz. (and i recall it being really shitty because i was fighting with my SO most of the time. though i did get to see sinead lohan and the fantabulous dixie chicks...and meet liz..). The life-changing show was B52s when I was 13 years old - don't ask... But - the most I have ever paid for a show... that's simple: $250 American DOLLARS to see Madonna this coming August. That is nearly $400 CANADIAN dollars for me. I did NOT want to spend this much - but our first set of tickets got fucked around - and my boyfriend wanted to buy new ones (since the people who were gonna provide the first, more reasonably priced set of tickets fucked up) so - he got us seats on the main floor - about 16 rows from Madonna herself - - dead centre. Mind you - it is gonna be great - but FUCK MAN - 400 dollars?????!?!?!!?! I sooo didn't sign up for that - but hell - he got them - i guess I gotta pay - either that or ditch him for the show and leave him with an 800 dollar bill. but shit man - she better be showing her tits and all her dancer's tits and asses for that amount. 400 dollars is inexcusable to charge for just a concert. I better see some nudity and maybe even some explicit sex - and lots of gay stuff thrown in for good measure oh ya -- and I'll shoot her and Nikki and Donna like the dogs they are if they don't perform "I'll Remember". PS - thanks to all those who helped me out with CD NOW ::) Talk to you soon, Dan. PS - as a funny contrast - I think the cheapest show I have ever been to was Liz Phair herself in 1994!!! For real!! At the time - I thought she was just some local michigan girl - I think the tickets were only about 8 dollars... weird eh??? anyway, Dan. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #194 ************************************
