I mean, it had to be a life-changing even, For me, it would have to be Bruce Springsteen, March 2000. I had always heard my mom play his music, but I never seriously considered it till I saw him live, the whole entire arena was sold out, which is really rare in Orlando for some reason. I mean, the Boss was draining the sweat from his shirt. B)What's the most you ever paid for a show. $50.25 for Cher and Stevie Nicks. Most shows around here are a decent price except for the boy bands of course. *bleh* Ta-ta, Katie ();) ===== ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "So play the game 'Existence' to the end." - John Lennon ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo! I know sometimes - I'll order from somewhere, Kill Rock Stars, for example - and the order comes I SWEAR in like, less than a fucking week!! It is amazing?? I just ordered a few CDs from CD NOW - - and wondered if anyone has any good/bad experiences....(you can email privately if you don't wanna muss up the list with shit) PS regarding the thread - the rock concert that changed my life was B52s in 1990. I was...shit..13 years old??? But it was fantastic!!! I was just blown away by how energetic and bouncey they were - and how it looked like they were having sooo much fun... it just gave me a new slant on music I guess... at any rate - that's that... Dan. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2001 20:59:44 EDT From: MangoHula@aol.com Subject: what is? Strobes, LOUD!!!!!!!, great performance. It was amazing. Cat's > Cradle is a great venue. Thinking deeper into "life changing", I'm still not sure I've ever been to a life changing show. My very first concert may have been b/c I was young and innocent and saw crazy stuff going on at RFK Stadium for Pink Floyd. That was during middle school-- '89-'91ish. I think a woman fell from one of the upper teirs, I remember an ambulance going out onto the field and the people behind us were smoking pot. anyway.......... > > B)What's the most you ever paid for a show? > > probably $50 or so. I mean, it had to be a life-changing event, like losing your virginity? lilith fair 98, seeing Lucinda Williams on the smaller stage. Being from Austin, I'd heard of her, and heard the Mary Chapin-Carpenter cover of "passionate kisses", but I'd actually never seen her live before. And, she totally blew me away. I walked right over to Tower records and buying the CD after her set was done... missed the beginning of Bonnie Raitt, but that CD was well-worth it. B)What's the most you ever paid for a show? $90 bucks to see the Kiss Reunion tour in 1997. I had no choice... it was Kiss! I used to take Kiss records to show-and-tell in Kindergarten. And, we were really really close to the stage. Gene Simmons even flew out over us at one point... definitely worth the 90 bucks. Would have spent more if I had to. _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/ ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #193 ************************************
