I started reading the digests semi-regularly again when I got my new computer. The AIFF file on my site is 705 kbps, 44.1 kHz, Mono, 16 bit encoded with the QDesign Music 2 codec. It's the original format that the audio was in for the movie so it's as good as you can get quality wise. It's also smaller than the 128kbps MP3 file I made. (I probably could have made the MP3 file smaller if I'd changed the encoding to Mono.) I think I'm going to leave the files up for a few more days, but I'm still a little conflicted on the subject. I want to make them available for the fans, but I don't want to do anything that would piss off Liz. I'm with Jase on this that if Liz or her management wants the files gone, they're gone. For now, I'll leave them up for people to enjoy. The more people that host them, the more people that can enjoy them. PS- Does the AIFF work on PCs with Quicktime? I assume it should but I haven't actually verified that fact. - -- - -Aaron Walker http://www.visi.com/~lazlo/liz/ > Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2001 01:15:12 -0400 (EDT) > Subject: support-system-digest V4 #171 > > Ack. > > In all my haste to try to get that mp3 posted, I didn't realize Aaron > Walker was going to put one up himself. > > I don't want to step on anyone's toes or anything. (and doesn't she do that earlier in the song, too?) SHIT, that's the sound (not exactly the lyric, but the sound) of "Summer Breeze" by Seals And Crofts. i love the video. i love that sequence the first time she sings the three downs -- sort of an animation, there. it's weird that something so small as a video only a few inches long on your screen can make you happy, eh? i guess it means that there's more to come...some day... chris deLisle ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2001 12:56:54 EDT From: JJewelbaby@aol.com Subject: Re: support-system-digest V4 #171 Hey everyone! What a great video- so original- and it reminded me of 4th of July parades and such, for some reason. Or, just parades/festivities in general for those who don't celebrate the 4th. :) Anyway, when I tried to download the mp3 of the song, it just kept skipping and double-playing (if that makes any sense). Does anyone know why this is? When I went to check out the video, it kept stopping to say "re-buffering." I finally watched all of it, but not without interruption. If anyone could email a way around this, I'd appreciate it. It also sounds like other people may be having problems with it too. Thanks! Julie :) <> ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2001 13:21:29 EDT From: Icedhockey@aol.com Subject: better late than never Hi everyone- Well, I almost missed out on this vid while I was off list. How come it only takes three minutes for me to totally fall for Liz all over again? I don't know why I ever worry about not loving an album, no matter what's going on with her. I adore Liz and the way she thinks and the way she is. And I adore Ken and Jase for all their continued hard work. And all the Katies and all of you... paige- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2001 19:18:55 -0700 (PDT) From: Easter Subject: Princess... /"Down" Jocelyn wrote: " and didn't Liz due a song for the new Disney something-about-a-princess movie? That's what I heard..." Uhh...The Princess Diaries with Julie Andrews? Hmmm...and share the same soundtrack as Mandy Moore? Hmmmm... About "Down," I personally couldn't connect to it and I'll admit I only listened to it once. I guess I don't have the life experience and age behind me to rave about it. *shrugs* The one thing I did like from the video was the ending with the notes on the steps, eerie in some way. The one thing I hope that won't happen to Liz is becoming so popular that you see girls running around in tube tanks screaming how cool Liz is in the same sentence as Justin Timberlake. If that ever happens, I'll have to seclude myself somewhere or become a nun.
