Splendid news; glad to hear this. Great new album to start the grad school career, if all goes well. Wouldn't mind seeing Brad Wood back at the mixing board, for sure. Anyways. Since I've never heard of Pete Yorn or R. W. Vincent, so does anyone like, mind to give me some sort of idea who these people are, and comments whether or not they'd be good for the album? Thanks in advance---I hope. (No big surprise here since it's the subject of my post...) Yes, they played "Never Said"! I was so excited because I had never seen this video except for a tiny clip of it that I downloaded on my computer from somewhere. I stood in front of the TV grinning the whole time. It was quite exciting. ~Emily ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Apr 2001 11:24:00 EDT From: LilRussianGirl@aol.com Subject: new albulm news Ah, this is very encouraging. Maybe the press gods noticed our whining about how the Elle article confused us and left us wanting new music news. Viola! (OK, probably not.) however, it its good to hear some album news. yay. my question now is: 35 songs? i can name maybe 10 new ones, at most. can anyone name more? the security around the new material this time appears to be very tight ... and maddening! i say she should just organize it well and release two albums: one that flows, as eig or ws did (as previously discussed here) and one that is the other stuff. Call the second one "leftovers" or something. That way she still gets to profit from it, not ebay folks, and we still get to hear all of it. (OK, I'm just being greedy.) But what the hell. It isn't like we haven't waited long enough. And two albums would tide us over until 2005 when she releases her next one. =) On a serious note, though, I do hope that she does work with brad wood again. I know there won't ever be another eig, but I do think that a LP/brad wood collaboration might be just what she needs. I am also glad to see that Michael Penn is/has been involved. Very interesting. wouldn't an end-of-year release and tour be nice? =) hoping and dreaming, lrg ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Apr 2001 14:59:30 -0500 From: "Drew Schultz" Subject: My thoughts I can't sit back anymore. I need to post my thoughts. I don't know how a lot of people choose not to like WCSE. The first Liz song that I ever heard was Polyester Bride. That's the song that got me hooked. I like all of her other stuff, but I'm leaning towards WCSE as being my favorite because it's what got me interested in Liz. For the people that say that the lyrics aren't as good as they were back then all I can say is try to sit down and write 12 songs. It's not easy. Then try to sit down and arrange the music that fits the mood of the song. That's even harder. I know from experience. That is also why the new cd is taking longer than expected to get done. Truly great music takes time to be perfected. Anyway that's my opinions on a few things. Now back into the darkness of my mind. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Apr 2001 16:21:53 -0400 (EDT) From: steve the dyke-tyke Subject: yay. >>>Singer has about 35 songs already in contention for follow-up to Whitechocolatespaceegg.<<< Good. so we can expect a triple-cd.
