Yo La Tengo ain't just a great rock group -- they're the friendliest rock stars I've ever talked to, responding to any letter you write to them, talking to fans after every concert etc. They also play a fund-raising show ever year for WFMU here in NYC. People call in and request songs (ANY song, from the Beatles to Husker Du to Johnny Cash) and Yo La TEngo figures out how to play it and makes up the lyrics.. it's really cool. Then there was the time they let me get up on stage and play bongoes with them... i could go on and on. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #99 ***********************************
