I remember hearing Exile in Guyville on the PA at my favorite Phish show (Evergreen, WA 11/10/94) and seeing all these enlightened young ladies singing along and seemingly identifying with Liz. " DAMN this is cool... in 1993 I got so heavily into Phish with my college friends and listened to Liz Phair constantly with my sisters at home. While I had a period of a few years when i didn't listen to either, i now am so deeply into both and I have such a collection to choose from... of course with Phish there is so much more in terms of live material, but the really rare stuff from Liz Phair is just as (for lack of a better word) stimulating as great live phish. When I met Lani at a Liz concert we talked about Phish for so long and didnt think there were many other people who really liked both. Then I met Justin and some others who really dig both, too, and when I hear Phish playing Liz at setbreak, its like everything is coming full circle for me and music.
