No offense but they're kinda boring! I saw them at the Big Day Out in February and they didn't do much. I s'pose they can't really with their music but they're probably one of the most unexciting bands I've seen live. And their bassist is a bit of an idiot. I met them and he was a bit rude to me. Rock stars! Anyway they're not really worth spending heaps of money on to see. Thanks for the response to my question. I'm definitely interested in checking out the Blake Babies now. Would the new record be the best one to start out with, or should I pick up _Sunburn_ first? I haven't gotten a chance to listen to the newest album yet, but I have a few of the old ones...and they have no where near the punch that solo (especially newer) Juliana albums have...but Juliana gets better with age if you ask me, and I am really pissed that God's Foot isn't being released...but I much prefer solo Juliana Oh yeah, and I finally saw Liz in the Apple commericial, woohoo! I took the list's recommendations and picked these both up and am glad that I did. Thank you!!!!! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Mar 2001 21:52:31 EST From: LilRussianGirl@aol.com Subject: apple commercial, napster >>I checked out the ad for apple at their website. I thought it was kind of odd to see Aimee Mann and Michael Penn doing a commercial for a CD burner when they have been such big opponents of musical piracy in the past. They are both listed as artists that oppose music piracy at www.artistsagainstpiracy.com. To quote dear Liz - "Explain it to me":I don't get it. All of these artists are so ticked off about Napster, but not *one* is making a stink about the producers of blank tapes. It seems to me that A LOT more people have access to and taped copies of albums than people I know who even understand or use Napster. Any thoughts????? ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #76 ***********************************
