I don't believe _Songs for Clem_ was ever released outside of Canada, which is probably why you haven't had any luck finding it. Even here, it's not all that easy to find, as the album was only self-released. Hopefully the album will find better distribution now that Sarah's music is starting to find a wider audience. It can be ordered online, though, through Sarah's Web site [http://www.sarahharmer.com], or through Canadian retailers like HMV [http://www.hmv.com] or Chapters [http://www.chapters.ca]. At those sites, you can also order CDs from Sarah's old band, Weeping Tile. LO", im happy with My guess is that she's probably not in a real rush to do anything with Hole at the moment -- given her current litigation against Universal, even if she were to record a new Hole record, it couldn't be released until a verdict has been reached in the case. Lord only knows how long that might take. Courtney has probably done some writing since _Celebrity Skin_ was released, and those songs, originally intended for Hole, might be the ones she'll be using for this project instead. And who knows, maybe she's been planning this for quite a while but keeping it quiet. That does seem like a very Courtney-esque thing to do. One other possibility is that they might just write the songs while they're all in the studio together -- a sort of collaborative, spontaneous thing. I'm pretty excited about the project overall -- anything new from Courtney is more than welcome, and it's good to see her working with Patty again (my favorite of all of Hole's drummers). At this point, I'm just scratching my head wondering what's going on with the new album. It's already mid-March and there's been no news of a release date yet. Most release dates are announced two or three months before the album is due to be out; even if we were to hear a release date today, the album wouldn't be out until mid-May at the earliest. I hate to be pessimistic, but my guess is that if we don't hear anything soon, it'll be safe to assume that the soundtrack will be out first. The movie is due to be released this fall, so it only seems logical that the soundtrack would be released around the same time as the film. And I really can't see releasing the album and the soundtrack within a month or two of each other; most labels hate having competing product on the market simultaneously. While we would all certainly purchase both, more casual fans might be prone to choosing just one or the other. The bad part is that if Liz's new record isn't out before the soundtrack, we might not see it until after the start of next year. The soundtrack will likely be out in September or October, and most labels don't release much from mid-November until the new year. Of course, this is all just speculation. What we really need is some news! I guess this doesn't really answer your question, though. Let's just say that I'm being optimistic and am hoping that the new album will be out first; there's a part of me, though, that suspects the soundtrack will see the light of day before the album. I just put on the show a few minutes ago and listening to it is taking me right back; I feel like I'm there. One of the greatest nights of my life -- thanks, Janet, Jorge, Katie, Craig and Jill! Is anyone else thinking we should all do this again next time Liz tours (and please God, let it be soon!)? For that matter, are there any plans for another Phest in the works? Bad timing and a lack of extra cash prevented me from taking part last year, but if something were to happen this year, I'd do everything I could to try to be there...
