[Kenneth Lee Subject: Magnetic Fields / Nick Drake For anyone looking to tide themselves over while waiting for the new Liz and Radiohead releases, I've recently discovered the Magnetic Fields and Nick Drake. I don't recall too much talk about them here, but let me recommend to everybody the "69 Love Songs" box set by the Magnetic Fields and any/all of the albums by Nick Drake. I'm not sure I can call myself an expert on either, but there are literally dozens of songs on the box set that will either amuse you or break your heart (or both) and the Nick Drake albums are for anyone in search of a mellow, happy medium. If you aren't sure about either, try either Volume 1 or Volume 3 of the box set (they're sold separately) or Nick Drake's "Bryter Layter" album. Question: for all of those who know about Stephin Merritt's other releases (as the Magnetic Fields, the 6ths, the Gothic Archies and the Future Bible Heroes), is there somewhere else i should start?
