HA! That cracked me up! I've seen shit like this before on there, but not quite this bad! Thats way too funny. But as for that guy's VERY poor attempt at a tracklist - what in the hell is "Like Joy"? I'm stumped. I have racked my brain and can come up with nothing.. maybe i'm just missing something. I know as soon as I send this I'll think of it. As for the nasty "slut" remarks - ????? All I can say is "why?" Since when is Liz a big slut? I can understand someone saying "heres that big slut, madonna" but Liz? since when did she pose nude for Guyville? I mean, hell, yeah, theres a nipple on the cover - but come on... those polaroid shots aren't even her, and its obvious. And as for "not the channel 10 weather girl" ... who really cares what his opinion of her looks are? but even... UGLY? Maybe someone should forward him a picture of true ugliness... Send him a picture of christina aguleira (or however the hell you spell her name). I figure a lot of people will e-mail him and tell him off. The Duke Ellington Ballroom. This guy is talking about the Dekalb show on April 12th 1999. I've seen that video. It's all over ebay and the web as "livechocolatespaceegg". I actually have a copy but i definitely didn't get it from this idiot! Taped with a home video camera, but its not bad... a great experience for those who haven't had the pleasure to see her live but its not the best i could imagine. But the guy who filmed it seemed to be more fascinated with her guitar and her breasts for a total of about 15 minutes throughout the show. Oh well. Thats just my view.... back to lurking....... michael ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 Feb 2001 00:46:10 -0600 From: "mesmerizing" Subject: liz quiz This is SO FREAKING FUNNY. 1. Michael already pretty much said everything I was going to say about the wanker who's selling the _Exile in Guyville_ CD, but I figured I'd take a shot at figuring out the song titles. >1. F**k and Watch TV (forgot the real name) Chopsticks. >2. F**K and Run Oh, look, he actually got one right. I don't see why he needs the asteriks, though -- if eBay won't crack down on bootlegs being sold on their site, do you think they really care about the f-word? >3. Johnny Run On Johnny Feelgood. >4. Mesmerizing Too Mesmerizing. At least he didn't butcher that one as badly as some of the others. >5. Cinco Day Mayo Sooo close, but not quite. Cinco De Mayo. >6. Blow Job Queen Flower. I'm just thankful he didn't name it "Fuck You 'Til Your Dick Is Blue." Whoops, make that F**k. >7. Like Joy Firewalker. >8.Never Said Nothing Again, close. Never Said. >9. Cold Out There 6'1". >10. Emotion Don't Apologize, likely, since she performed it at all of the shows on that tour and there's nothing else listed that seems probable to be it. It does have the word "emotion" somewhere in the chorus (it's been a while since I've played it, and I don't remember the exact lyric). >13. Polyester Bride Wow, another one that's correct. That makes two out of 17. >14. Super Nova This is way pedantic of me, but it should be "Supernova." All one word. >15. See You Around White Chocolate Space Egg. (Just an aside, why do some people insist on referring to the song as "whitechocolatespaceegg," like the album title, when the song title itself is listed as four separate words everywhere in the album artwork and CD booklet? Okay, so I'm still being pedantic.) >16. Involved Perfect World. >17. Harder to be Friends Divorce Song. F**k and Watch TV (forgot the real name)>> chopsticks. easy. and thank you for acknowledging your ignorance. <<2.F**K and Run>> fuck and run. this is too easy. <<3. Johnny Run On>> johnny feelgood. in spite of all the johnny songs this must be a 'johhny right on' thing. <<4. Mesmerizing Too>> mesmerizing. an extra work here and there is excusable. <<5. Cinco Day Mayo>> cinco de mayo. our list-maker obviously doesn't know much about celebrations from south of the border, but it's a good stab at the song title. <<6. Blow Job Queen>> flower. this song has a sort of obtuse name, anyway. 'blow job queen' really does get to the heart of the matter faster. good work. <<7. Like Joy>> um...firewalker. by the way, doea this tell us what show we are dealing with? <<8.Never Said Nothing>> never said. just another one of those pesky extra words. <<9. Cold Out There>> you lost me. maybe my lyric bank isn't at its finest but this really isn't ringing any bells. <<10. Mayflower>> now, you'd think this would be may queen but my vote is for dance of the seven veils. after all, it actually has may flowers in it. <<11. Beautuful Dancer>> uncle alvarez. this one took me a moment, though. <<12. Emotion>> i'm guessing that this is some sort of 'emotional rescue' segue thing. you know, i understand not knowing what liz's songs are called. she is a bit off the beaten track. but not knowing that emotional rescue is called emotional rescue...that's strange. <<13. Polyester Bride>> polyester bride. a-ok. this puts our author at 2 out of 13. <<14. Super Nova>> supernova. 3 out of 13. <<15. See You Around>> although 'see you around' is a great vic chesnutt song, this must be whitechocolatespaceegg. <<16. Involved>> wha? for some reason i was about to guess divorce song. it seemed like a thematic thing. but i can't because... <<17. Harder to be Friends>> divorce song. well that was my attempt. i'm sure someone out there will do better. but...cold out there? involved? i'm sorry, but does that mean anything to anyone? word out, becky ===== "if the fool were to persist in his folly he would become wise." -william blake http://i.am/beckybecky Get email at your own domain with Yahoo! Like someone's going to say, "Her music sucks AND she's ugly? Oh, I want that CD!" Or, hey, if you can figure out what the songs are on that video, you can get that too. Were there 2 or more correct titles on that set list? These people are obviously not in sales. Well, if they are, they suck at it. :-) But this just brings up the fact that since the dawn of Naspster and other such things that make it easy for people to listen to new music without any reliable source to get it from, there are a lot of quasi-fans out there. I've been trying to download Liz songs and I'm like, "Hm... Fuckin' Around, I wonder if that's actually a song title..." Nope, that would be Fuck and Run. And with You're Aging Well and Leaving on a Jet Plane, who decided Liz sang those songs? The females on those songs sound nothing like Liz and her very not-soprano voice. They're singing up in the rafters and I'm thinking, "Christ, who would ever think this is her?" I'm surprised they even knew her name to guess that she sang the songs. But I've just been noticing that and thinking about it lately. My 2 cents... ~Melinda _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #56 ***********************************
