I don't think it's liz. Maybe on guitar, but I doubt it.. However.. I wanted to add that I usually don't search for Liz on Napster ( you guys know how it is, when you have everything you don't need to search) and compared to maybe a year and a half ago there is quite a selection of Liz stuff. When I first got Napster there were usually 5-10 songs, usually fuck&run, and now there is actually live and rare stuff being shared. I haven't been around for awhile, email problems, evil people screwing with my life, etc. So Hello to everyone :) Please fill me in if I've missed anything important. Le sigh, it's good to be back. - ---melissa ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! I'm almost scared to hear it actually......She's been my hero for so many years, and I am seriously hoping her next CD is better than wcse, because though it was fairly decent, it just didint feel like Liz to me, and I hope it's not a trend she's leaning towards, I will be really disappointed. Ok well that was just my thought for the night, anyone else feelin my pain?? ~*jessica ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Feb 2001 09:54:34 EST From: Phairer@aol.com Subject: Re: Liz album In a message dated 2/18/01 12:08:22 AM Eastern Standard Time, phairsphair@hotmail.com writes: > Okay, Paige mentioned one of her favorite Liz experiences as "finally > getting the 'yeah.'" I just figured many people might be wondering the same thing: what > yeah? > Hi, Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. The "yeah" would be the "yeah" that Liz sings during "6'1" on some offbeat. Then Jessica wrote: <> Well, I'm far from the expert here, but I believe we've been hearing the summer for the new album. I know what you mean about Liz being my hero, cause she is def. one of mine. She's kind of the singer/songwriter I'd want to be if I had any smidgen of talent in that area. I was not disappointed by whitechocolatespaceegg. It's not Exile in Guyville, but it couldn't have been considering where Liz was in life. I know she was then very influenced by playing at Lilith - she said as much during her Sessions on West 54th interview with David Byrne. But now there are a few years under her belt, so I imagine she's in a different place entirely. When Guyville came out, I thought - hey, here's someone who knows what's going on with me! By Whip-Smart she had a serious relationship, more serious than mine serious one.And then by Egg, she was married with a kid - she became the person I wanted to be like rather than the person I was. And that was OK by me too. I'm eager to hear what's next. I've def. enjoyed seeing her on VH-1 a lot in the interim!! paige- - --- Got Liz Phair, Mary Lou Lord or Pearl Jam to trade? Check out my list at www.u.arizona.edu/~ikb/Jaggernaut and then send your trading list to me c/o Phairer@yahoo.com! And don't wait for email to talk about your faves.
