Liz a lesbian, eh? that would explain why i have so many dreams about her. *sigh* ah, the trials of being a lesbian-identified gayboy. ;) kidding. excuse me, yet another night without sleep, trying to entertain myself. not working. This coincides perfectly with something I wanted to ask everybody about. Is anyone else influenced artistically in any way by Liz and/or her music? I had to write a story for a creative writing class, and I played all my Liz cds starting with Girlysounds through WCSE and I feel it really gave my story an edge it didn't have before. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. He was nice enough to give me a copy of the Minty Fresh anthology CD that has 2 versions of Carnivore on it. One is a studio version, one is "raw". I like that one better. Anyway, I would be happy to e-mail the mp3s of the songs to anyone who wants them. Just e-mail me. About Julie Johnson - I watched and listened to the trailer and the song in the background is not Liz - it is Luscious Jackson, doing Naked Eye. But, I did find this listing on www.shootinggallery.com: Julie Johnson New music by Liz Phair and composed by Angelo Badalamenti, featuring Jonatha Brooke and Stage If anyone has more info, pass it along.... It wasn't the trailer that used Liz's music; it's "Clip 1" on Hole's Web site where you can hear Liz (although very, very briefly). Trust me, it is Liz -- who wouldn't recognize her voice anywhere? For some reason, a lot of my female screenplay characters take on characteristics of her or are even named after her. paige- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Feb 2001 11:56:25 -0600 From: "Sandman" Subject: Torn A few people on this list were talking about the song torn quite a while ago. Perhaps their best. They split up however and anne is working on a new band called Antennae. They did a really cool unplugged version of Torn on Howard Stern a While back. To my knowledge, all of Ednaswap's LPs are still in print. Check them out.
