What was the Krusyt/Liz comic? I don't really care for Spin, which is why I don't read it. I do love the Simpsons though....Ooooh, guilty pleasures!!! Erin Get email at your own domain with Yahoo! Subject: miss fortune on leno It was kind of neat having the Jay Leno band play 'Miss Fortune' while one of the guys from pka "Cursed" came out. That happened earlier this, or last, week but it was interesting nonetheless. Oh, and PJ Harvey has only not toured or released an album since 2 years ago. I think she is pretty consistant. She never goes too long. But the 'Is This Desire' tour actually went across America. Tickets sold out at the 'Fillmore' SF show I was going to go to. I loved ITD but Stories doesn't really do it for me. It seems very 2-d and the music (to me) screams "Look at me! I'm Polly, the two chord wonder!" The music and lyrics used to be more complex. But, yeah, I'm glad she's out there anyway. love, nathan _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Jan 2001 05:05:48 -0500 From: Jason Long Subject: Catching up with the times... Hey everyone, Remember a couple of months ago when I was talking about getting a CD burner and offered to make copies of any Liz boots I have on CD once I got it? Well, the day is finally here -- I now have CD burning capabilities. If anyone's interested in getting copies of Girly Sound, the Lounge Ax show, Pottymouth Girl, Fuck and Run, '96 Shelved Demos/Studio Recordings or the Juvenilia EP (since it's now out of print), let me know and I'd be more than happy to work something out. Right now I would prefer to trade for other Liz material, but if you have nothing to trade, don't worry -- if you send me the blank discs and cover the postage, that would be fine too. Also, for the Aimee Mann fans on the list, I have the Attack and Return of the Killer B-sides bootlegs on CD as well and can make copies of those for anyone who's interested. Thanks to everyone who provided me with recommendations and advice on what hardware and software to check out -- I had no idea where to start and would have been lost without you all. One last thing, remember how a while back I was going to do a CD tree for the three shows Liz did in Chicago in October 1998? At the time, I couldn't find enough people who could help me get things underway, since I didn't have a burner myself. If I had maybe a dozen or so volunteers who'd be interested in helping out now by burning discs for others, we could get something going again. If anyone would like to help, please let me know. Cheers, Jase ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Jan 2001 10:31:13 -0500 From: "Jen Lott" Subject: Spin I haven't seen the list cause I've been in England, but did anyone catch that little snippet in Spin about Liz? They were calling her a girly girl, too wimpy, etc....and said that she should get a man back her up. Has this been part of any discussions? Jen Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably still be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancement. - - Snoopy - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V4 #13 ***********************************
