Good movie! And yes it did snow! I had to go do a shift at WREK, but luckily the roads were completely clear. d - -- Dave Slusher dave_slusher@sff.net http://www.sff.net/people/dave_slusher/ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Dec 2000 21:41:09 -0500 From: Mike Marlatt Subject: energy Sorry for the non-Liz content I just want to make a post as a music fan about my little trip to New York last week (what a fucking city, by the way!!!!). I know the Dave Matthews Band gets a bad rap here for all the Abercrombie and Fitch loving clones that seem to follow them but I gotta say that the two shows at Madison Square Garden last week were a thing of beauty. I think it's safe to say that the concerts have evolved from being more than just a good place to meet up with all of your frat and sorority friends. Both nights, the entire place was singing word for word a couple of songs that aren't even on any of the recorded albums, but have only been played in concert. And the Bob Marley Exodus cover the second night had the whole place shaking. They even teased a little Soul Coughing in the first night. Everytime I think that this band has completely sold out and become musically static they seem to take it to another level instrumentally. The Agents of Good Roots were great as well down at the Lion's Den in Greenwich. Anyone who's up for just grooving a bit with a good funk/rock band should check them out. mike Mike Marlatt BMO NESBITT BURNS Tel: 443-1622 Fax:443-1524 ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V3 #341 ************************************
