Upon a later visit to the site, I also noticed that they had Ashtray Boy's _The Honeymoon Suite_ listed -- an album that I thought was long out-of-print, but that I needed a new copy of. On a lark, I decided to order it, and while it was nearly a month on back order, I just received an e-mail yesterday confirming that they have received the disc from their supplier and it's being shipped to me. As many of you are likely aware, this is the Ashtray Boy album on which Liz contributed vocals to two songs -- "Shirley MacLaine" and "Infidel." They have several listings for the album, all from different countries. The one I successfully ordered has the catalog number H144711 and is priced at $10.10 US (a steal!). If anyone else is looking to own this bit of Liz's past, this might be the way to go to get it -- I haven't seen the album listed on any other music retailers' sites. Cheers, Jase (ordering far too much music online these days) NP: Liz, "Shatter" (why does Liz never do this live anymore?) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Dec 2000 08:11:05 -0500 From: Jason Long Subject: Bounced message From: Nick Nelson Subject: Re: Cursed Speaking of the TV show Cursed, I just read that it's being re-worked, to return as the Steven Weber Show with a different premise. The article didn't what the new premise will be (I assume the curse thing is getting the boot), but this may mean the theme song will be replaced as well. NBC seems to not care about the Liz song anyway, what with reducing it to an 5-second "Oops" lately. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Dec 2000 08:20:10 -0500 From: Jason Long Subject: Buddy Judge CD Hey all, Just in case anyone's interested, I thought I'd mention that Liz's guitarist Buddy Judge now has a CD out, available through Amazon.com. The album is titled _Profiles In Clownhenge_ and can be found by following this link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000055X84/buddyjudge I haven't heard the album myself yet, so I have no idea what it's like, but I can say that Buddy's songwriting contributions to his old band the Grays were excellent. Check it out if you're so inclined. Cheers, Jase NP: The Buzzcocks, "Hollow Inside" ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Dec 2000 08:32:05 -0500 From: Jason Long Subject: Ack Oh man, I feel so bad... I just checked the MusicSelection.com site and saw that they've raised the price of the Minty Fresh anthology from $22.55 to $24.12. Sorry for misinforming everyone. Just thought that I'd share that Liz was on VH1 last night, on the 100 Greatest TV Rock N Roll Moments, commenting on Eric Clapton doing Unplugged. I never noticed before, but she's on the intro, too. making with the quiet now, ana ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V3 #339 ************************************
