Hey everyone. It's been awhile since I've posted, but I thought I too would list my favorites of the year for all who are interested: 01. Poe - "Haunted" 02. Tracy Bonham - "Down Here" 03. PJ Harvey - "Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea" 04. Fisher - "True North" 05. Aimee Mann - "Bachelor No. 2 (Or The Last Remains Of The Dodo)" 06. Jude - "No One Is Really Beautiful" 07. Elastica - "The Menace" 08. Amanda Ghost - "Ghost Stories" 09. Amy Correia - "Carnival Love" 10. Ani DiFranco - "To The Teeth" There are one or two albums above that I believe were released in 1999, but 2000 marked my introduction to them. MOST ANTICIPATED ALBUMS OF 2001: 01. Patty Griffin - "Silverbell" 02. Liz Phair - TBA 03. Heather Nova - TBA MOST DISAPPOINTING ALBUM THIS YEAR: 01. Dar Williams - "The Green World" --- Just to add another note on Katell Keineg, she sings the background vocals on Natalie Merchant's "Carnival." I picked up "Jet" not too long ago, and I have to admit, while it takes awhile to get into, it's a great album (my favorite tracks being "One Hell Of A Life" and "Oli Conquistador"). Okay, back into obscurity I go... I was flipping through the All Music Guide, and happened across the name Marc Cohn. Why? I was curious who sang that damn song about walking in Memphis. The interesting thing here is that AMG finally got around to having a few complete artist reference guides, and while paging over the categories, Liz was listed as "More Elaborate, Sophisticated" than Cohn. I dunno what the connection is; I'm having a hard time connecting the two of 'em. Odd. Discuss this amongst the list. Ken Lee, this deserves mention on your site.
