Couldn't help noticing that you've got "Punishing Kiss"; that now makes two copies of it in circulation that I know of. Did you like it? I've been looking into Ms. Warnes since 28 November, due to a "Similar Artists" entry at the All Music Guide. I didn't have a clue as to who she was (despite having grown up with parents who loved the "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack, and having heard "Love Lift Us Up" plenty of times thanks to the lousy radio around here), but I seem to have spent considerable time since then poking around for her albums, MP3s, and websites. Looks like things are on the downswing for her, but I figure that once I get some money from this upcoming Christmas thing, I might be able to pick up FBR or something similar. She certainly _sounds_ nice... Rather nifty, all in all. But beware, she had a hit about 20 years ago, which was very 70's soft rock, with a song called It's The Right Time Of The Night (For Making Love) which is on her greatist hits album. It's not bad if you like that kind of thing, but it's very unlike Famous Blue Raincoat, an album of Lenord Cohen songs, she was his back up singer for many years. "Resolver" - Veruca Salt 2. "Faith and Courage" - Sinead O'Connor 3. "Beautiful Creature" - Juliana Hatfield 4. "Notorious K.I.M." - Lil' Kim 5. "All Hands On the Bad One" - Sleater-Kinney 6. "Selmasongs" - Bjork 7. "Mama's Gun" - Eryka Badu 8. "Stories from the..." - PJ Harvey 9. "Music" - Madonna 10. "Haunted" - POE HONOURABLE MENTION (But too embarassed to put them on my top 10 list) "Sing When You're Winning" - Robbie Williams (I don't care...I LOVE IT!) BIGGEST DISAPOINTMENTS: - - "KID A" - Radiohead - - "Tonight and the Rest of My Life" - Nina Gordon - - Matthew Sweet's Greatest Hits - - Once again - Vitamin C has accomplished embarassing/disapointing me with her new, poppy, slutty anthem "The Itch". God dammit Colleen. That's it guys... PS - I am MURDEROUSLY pissed OFF that WEEZER have once again sold out State Theater. I have been a fucking fan for 6 god damn years - my boyfriend told me last night that he had a surprise for me, I insisted that he told me - and he was like "Okay..i didn't buy tickets yet..but WEEZER is coming!!!" and I was like YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Today i discover they are sold out. So in actuality, I should be pissed off at my boyfriend for hyping me up, before he even checked when the damn tickets go on sale!!!!!!! :) :) OH well..doesn't matter :) I'm not *really* pissed at him :) :) However, for future reference, can someone direct me towards a REALLY GOOD site that provides some kind of calendar of shows? Preferably someone in the Windsor Ontario (Canada) or Detroit Michigan area....because I am soooo sick of discovering my favorite bands are selling out before I knew their were tickets on... :) :) anyway, see ya guys...
