One of the things I will be getting as part of my new system is a CD burner. Now, I'm a complete novice, so I'm looking for some advice ahead of time on what software to get so I can start making CD-Rs right away that will function as more than just coasters. Are there any programs that are fairly easy to use, create great discs with no problems (I know there's some stuff that will leave two second gaps between tracks; that I do not want), and also offer a lot in terms of functionality (being able to level match would be very important)? If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to write to me off-list, or you can reply on-list if you think anyone else might benefit from your advice. Also, once I do have a burner, I'd be more than happy to start trading CD-Rs of Liz Phair material or make discs for anyone who's after any of the following bootlegs: * Girly Sound * Fuck and Run * Pottymouth Girl * '96 Shelved Demos/Studio Recordings * 03/14/99 Lounge Ax show Plus a few other boots I have on CD, but can't think of the dates right now. Also, since the Juvenilia EP is out-of-print, if anyone's after that, I'd be more than happy to burn copies of it as well. Since there's a lot of other Aimee Mann fans on the list, I'd also be willing to burn CDs of the Attack and Return of the Killer B-sides bootlegs. They were showing The Wizard of Oz synched up to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. I'm sure many of you have heard about this. Let me just say that it was awesome. Just unpause the beginning of the album as soon as the MGM Lion roars for the 3rd time and you're off to neverland. But I do like you! no hard feelings. And I don't have a working VCR -- that was the problem, see. But, I did catch Liz talking Iggy Pop and I was very happy that they let her talk about a similarly edgy artist. Nice pairing. Nice, nice. Hurrah for Ray Lew and his "California" tab, which is similarly nice! Everything is nice, Emil Yahoo!
