That show (Get A Life) was brilliant! To continue the thread, a Talking Heads song (or maybe David Byrne solo) was used on the first show that Tea Leoni was in. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 02 Nov 2000 01:51:31 -0500 From: Dan Subject: Haunted... Hey all... Anyone check out Poe's "Haunted" yet?? If not - please do!! Fantastic!!!!!! I wasn't even crazy about her first album...I thought she seemed a little *TOO* aware of what she was saying at all times, back then she reminded me of some girl who *really* wanted to be a typical "angry girl rocker..." Her new album is faaaaaaaaar from that!! You can tell the whole thing is soooo personal, it's such a concept album and you can really tell she did it with only her and her family in mind. It comes off as sooo non-pretentious for a concept album - it's really brilliant. Her song-writing and producing skills have grown soo much, it's amazing. It actually made me chuckle - AND - nearly cry. Really great album - I highly recommend it, especially if you weren't crazy about the first album. don't even ask why I did buy it, seeing as I didn't like "HELLO" that much. I just read a few reviews, and thought it sounded SOOO cool - and oh ya - I had a freebie on my HMV card! :) So it didn't cost me nuthin :) But it woulda been worth the full 20 bux. PS - I won first runner up last night for my halloween costume :) I was Mary Katherine Gallagher - it was pretty fun :) NP - POE - "Haunted." bye bye, dan %&%&%&%&%%%%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&%&% "He looks as light as a feather, he IS as light as a feather, When I count to three... BUT i highly suggest reading the book if you listen to any of the cd. erin - ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Wendy Bryant" To: Subject: Re: support-system-digest V3 #294 Date: Wed, 1 Nov 2000 15:56:40 -0600 the new poe cd 'haunted' is excellent. has anyone read 'house of leaves?' wendy _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. I heard Cursed sucks, but I think Steven Weber is hot and I would watch him read a cereal box, it doesn't matter to me. Anyway, I know some people think Liz is selling out by doing the theme to a tv show, but I think that if that gig pays her enough money so she can afford to work on her own music and give us a great new album, then it's a good thing. All artists need their "bread and butter" jobs to pay for the time they spend creating. At least it's the theme song to a legitimate television show and not the theme to a porn video or Barney and Friends.
