Whoa -- just read a review on Mannlist that Buddy Judge didn't play with Aimee at her show tonight, which I think was the first of her current set of dates. Now, Buddy is a longtime member of Aimee's touring band and it's beyond weird at this point that there would be any show without him... Which leaves me to wonder: Does Buddy have some other current commitment that doesn't allow for him to tour with Aimee this time around? And if so, might that commitment have anything to do with a certain Elizabeth Clark Phair? We haven't heard anything in ages about the progress of the new album. If anyone thinks at all that they have any sources they could get some word from, please try to see what's going on. Are they still recording at this point or have they started over with another round of sessions? Is the album done, and if so, will it be out by the end of the year still, and is Liz maybe rehearsing for a new tour? We're past the two year anniversary of WCSE's release now and it was originally projected that _An Evening With..._ would be out this past spring. Seems like at the very least, if the new record isn't going to be out soon, we should at least have some more news on it. What gives? I've always used EIG for my friends, it's worked on three so far. With one friend, it took me a month to get my copy back cuz I had lent it to her, turns out she and her brother liked it so much they burned themselves a copy. *sigh* I quit my job at the movie theater a few days ago. It actually feels good not having to shovel popcorn anymore.
