She looked awesome. they played an entirely different set list than they did at Summerfest last month. They started off with "officially dead". it was funny, because they had their setlist taped to the floor right by them, and cus im tall i could read it so i knew all the songs they were gonna play b4 they played them. something REALLY AWESOME happened b4 the show tho. me and pam and this girl named audrey were walking towards the metro, and right in front of us (like maybe 10 yards) we saw this person that looked JUST LIKE LOUISE. i told them about it and they were just like, "yeah, she does look like louise!". we just figured that she was some Louise wannabe, but eventually she passed RIGHT BY US (less than 3 feet away) and we could tell it really FUCKING WAS LOUISE!!! she walked in2 a taxi and drove away. me and my friends kinda just sat there in awe and didnt say anything. we regretted it afterwards tho. i wish i could've talked 2 her. is it just me, or is Louise not really into the whole "talk to the fans" thing? at every VS show ive gone to ive met Suzanne, Steve, and Jimmy (i got his autograph 2night!!!!!!). Louise never comes out. ok - back to the concert. Rockit Girl opened up the show. i had never heard of them b4, but they were really good. It was totally obvious that they were influenced by Nina and Louise tho, cus their sound was a complete VS rip off, but in a cool way. the bassist Catherine was REALLY cool. during Veruca's set she came into the crows and watched the show with us. At one point she was directly in front of me, and i helped her get out of the crowd to go back stage. after the show, she came out and talked to me and my friends for like, 10 minutes. she let us in on all this awesome stuff - some of which i dont think i should be telling you guys, but i guess i have to now. SHE IS GOING OUT WITH STEVE!!! also, Catherine said that she and Gina frequently post on a VS message board (not saying which one), because they have all the inside scoop. she was so awesome - and she walked around like she was a nobody! she said she couldnt take the "booze" from backstage, so i guess she came out for fresh air (well that is what she told us!). also, does anyone else see an uncanny resemblance between her and Nina? its almost amazing how similar the 2 of them look. NOW TO THE EXCITING STUFF!!!! Louise was throwing all this stuff into the crowd, but i was and idiot and was talking to my friend and missed it all. HOWEVER - at the end of the show she threw this bottle of kiwi-strawberry spray stuff. we didnt get the bottle, but like, 10 FUCKING MINUTES LATER my friend Audrey found the BOTTLE CAP IN HER HAIR!!! WE HAVE LOUISE's BOTTLE CAP!!! I also jumped over the little rail thing, and grabbed Louises Evian Water Bottle and drank whatever was left (am i wierd or what???). my other friends also got stuff- my friend gwen got suzanne's water bottle, and my friend pam got someone's pick (she doesnt know who's tho). i almost got Louise's Octopus Beanie Baby, but when i jumped over the rail thing i didnt have enough time to get both the Evian Water bottle and the octopus, so i just got the bottle. the guards wouldnt let me have the octopus when i asked them for it (damn them!). this show was so awesome. afterwards we went to that "club house" place you guys were talking about, and we got to rip off a VS poster from the walls. VS had signed there that afternoon (i missed it damnit!!!!), so there were posters everywhere. Jimmy came out and signed it for me. I also met this really cool girl named sam that likes hole as much as i do.... well that is pretty much all. My opinion ? I love "Total System Failure" and was disappointed with "Beautiful Creature". THey are a couple of amazing tracks on it ("Choose Drugs" and "Hotels") but a a couple of fillers as well (especially "Cool Rock Boy"). "Total System Failure" took a while to grow on me but I'm totally addicted now... Also, "Become What You Are" is my least favorite Juliana cd....Her masterpiece is definitely "Only Everything" followed by "Hey Babe"... Take care !
