I actually met someone who's into Liz the other day. I was at this poster sale and I asked the guy if he had any Liz posters and to my surprise, I found a Liz Phan. I think he thought I looked too young to be into Liz cause he asked me how old I was before informing my mother that some of her songs are very rude and asking her if she's heard Liz and my Mum said yes and that she liked her even though she hasn't heard her much. I s'pose the age thing had to do with me looking around 12 when I'm actually 17 and in my school uniform at the time. But he didn't have any Liz posters but I got a cool Hole one. Lani (?) I'm in the same predicament as you! I have the Magnolia soundtrack and I've just been borrowing my friend's I'm with Stupid but I'm not fully entranced by it. I like about 2/3 of it a lot. I don't know, I just can't get into Aimee as much as Liz, Hole et al. Any other Placebo fans here? I know there are, I've seen your Placebo quotes! What do you think of Taste in Men? I didn't like it at first but its growing on me. The video for it's really good. I hear Brian Molko's got a bit of facial hair going. I think he'd look awful with a beard and moustache. Looking forward to the new album and the ensuing tour! Seeya Liz Phans, Sally "Acting steady, Always ready to defend your fears, What's the matter with the truth, Did I offend your ears?" Aimmmmmeeeeeee (I remember seeing those lyrics used by someone on here and thinking what good lyrics they were!) *********************************** chickclick.com http://www.chickclick.com girl sites that don't fake it. http://www.chickmail.com sign up for your free email. http://www.chickshops.com boutique shopping from chickclick.com *********************************** ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Aug 2000 08:02:54 -0700 (PDT) From: Emil Breton Subject: Liz on VH1 Ahhh... digging Liz on VH1. I think I fried my brain yesterday sitting in front of the brainwash-o-matic for something like EIGHT hours so I wouldn't miss a second of Liz. In lieu of any new Phair articles or photos (what's up with that?), this Top 100 thing is great. Liz looks great. I just wish she'd get back to talking about herself again. Her new album - and I believe her debut - called Picture This on a small label called NetherWorld is so amazing. I first heard her music on KCRW's Morning Becomes Ecletic and really like the single. The album was gettin some rave reviews from the staff there so I went out and picked it up. It's hard to find in music stores though but she has a web site where you can here clips of her music. Check it out. It is amazing. Her web site is www.joannadeseyne.com. Enjoy, Al :) ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V3 #208 ************************************
