Jill Sobule (Now I own 2 of her CDs) Abra Moore Juliana Hatfield (I can't believe I hardly knew her then) Fiona Apple Joan Osborne The Cardigans Jewel Sarah McLachlan (I didn't like her until that night when she did 'Building a Mystery') 1998: Hershey Park Stadium (Rainy as hell, but Sarah said we were one of the best audiences they had had...and we probably were, we were just so happy they were in Hershey) Bic Runga Abra Moore Chantal Kreviazuk (we sang Leaving on a Jet Plane with her) Luscious Jackson (They were better live than on their record I thought) Letters to Cleo (wow wow wow) Emmylou Harris Natalie Merchant (she puts on a good show, though I am not a big fan) Sarah McLachlan (of course) 1999: We were out of state when they were playing locally so I convinced my mom to go with me to Pittsburgh to see it (ROAD TRIP!) since it was the last year and I refused to miss it. Christina Aguilera (on the VILLAGE STAGE, seems funny now) Sinead Lohan Innocence Mission (I am from the town they are from, but I had to drive Pittsburgh to see them! But I got Karen's autograph) LIZ PHAIR (this was the second time I saw her, and when I saw her before I was 10ft from her, so this couldn't compare, but she was beautiful) Queen Latifah Sheryl Crow Dixie Chicks (I didn't like them at all before that, but they are good showmen, very good show) Sarah McLachlan There were others at all of these show that I didn't watch, but these are the ones I remember and watched. I think your CDR/Tape Swap is an excellent idea. I was thinking of doing something along the same lines and never got around to bringing it out in the open. As far as making a separate list for the discussion we have about them... maybe we shouldn't until we know how congested the responses will be. It is a small intimate performance about 150 people. There will be a meet & greet afterward. Doors open at 600PM. You can purchase tickets at the door, but it's recommended that you do so in advance. Anyone in the Seattle area (or who will be in the Seattle area) can call (206)433-0279. You will also be able to obtain info by accessing www.columbiacitytheater.com or www.jillsobule.com. The former will have an address and directions. There will be a Zshop set up at Amazon to place ticket orders. You can also go into WonderworldBooks in Burien in person and ask for Dave Nelson, or e-mail him at world@oz.net. www.wonderworldbooks.com. Jill will be singing and will sign autographs. The cost is a mere $12. Goodies will be served gratis, and there will be a nominal charge for beverages. It is an all ages show. I can't go, too far away, but this will be good. Jill is the woman who did I Kissed A Girl some years back, and her new album Pink Pearl is great. Nothing like Liz, but good in her own right. She has a lot of good insights on life and love, just like Liz. Quirky and witty. Andrea ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V3 #192 ************************************
