Here's mine: Ups: 1. My introduction to Holly McNarland - the artist I think is closest to Liz in chops. 2. Finally getting to see Suzanne Vega! 3. No matter how radio overplays Sarah McLachlan ballads, she's still induces chills in concert. Downs: 1. NOT getting to see Liz. A super phan that hasn't seen her yet. It seems so unphair that people that didn't give a shit did and I still haven't! 2. My friend stiffing me for an $85 ticket. She didn't go, didn't apologize and I wound up further than I would have been cause I bought two tickets. Oh yeah, I flew from Florida to NJ for the damn thing too! 3. Sheryl Crow. I'm so not a fan. paige- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Jul 2000 13:53:11 EDT From: AWeiss4338@aol.com Subject: Re: Remembering Lilith I went to to the first two, and the first one was great, and the second one bad. Why, because the venue, the Garden State Art Center (now the PNC Bank Art center) had changed for the worse. I had lawn seats for the second, arrived late, got a bad seat, the person I was with was annoyed ect., Anyway apart from that, I'll say some highlights of the first/second one, and lows. Didn't see Liz either time, bummer, but saw some good people nevertheless. Highs (First) Meeting Jill Sobule who was great. Seeing Victoria Williams (as well as Jill) preform on small stages and blew away most of the head liners, same with Juliaana Hatfield later in the evening. I'm not really a Paula Cole Fan, but she is great live. The Cardgins were wonderful, Nina was a star that night. Tracy Chapman doing Give Me One Reason the way Jimi Hendrix might have done it. Lows: Over priced food and drinks, missing Fionna Apple, Sarah M. just doesn't do it for me. Highs (second) Heather Nova is so cool and so sexy:). Natlie Merchant was the queen of the show and outclassed Sarah by a long shot. Missy Elliot Rocks! Lows, Over priced food and drink (I am never goign to the Art Center aain), the Indigo Girls. Dear Digesters, I have had a liz Phair emergency! I lost my girlysounds part 2 cd! I know what you all are thinking: How could she be so careless with such a valuable item! Well I dont know how I did it, but I lost it good. ANyways, I was wondering if someone would be willing to either email me mp3s of these songs or post them on a website for me to download. (Musicmatch is a good program to rip mp3s - very easy). I would be ever so grateful and I would be willing to trade for them. I have a bunch of rare cds.
