If I remember correctly, he said that "Fuck and Run" had been recorded all in one take, with minimal overdubs afterwards. If this is the case, my guess is that this effect was achieved in his mixing of the song, rather than during the actual recording process. I'll try to see if that interview is still archived; if it is, I'll forward it to the list.
