one of the best songs of *grace* is "last goodbye". it
also was played on radio, unlike his other great
songs. of course, there is also "lilac wine" and
"hallelujah". then again the whole album is worth
listening to. so is the posthumous album *sketches for
my sweetheart the drunk".. my picks are "everybody
here wants you", the sky is a landfill" and "jewel
box".

*mystery white boy*, a compilation of songs from
jeff's 1994-96 performances has just been released
recently. 

if you want to learn more about jeff buckley you can
try and ask over at *somms", the unofficial
soundgarden mailing list. apparently, jeff is good
friends with chris cornell. many sommsters listen to
jeff too and am sure would be more than willing to
share some good stories. chris wrote "wave
goodbye"[from his solo album *euphoria norning*] for
jeff.

howdy all.  well, i'm finished round 1 of med schol applications, and i
now have a nice apt in boston (east arlington, 4 blocks from the cambridge
border, 10 minute walk from alewife) so i'm back to paying attention to
liz and music in general.

just thought i'd mention that i was one on the people jason turned on to
jeff buckley a little over 2 years (and several lifetimes) ago.  i will
admit that at first,
"grace" didnt' do much for me.. but then i went back to it a month later,
and basically wanted to slap myself upside the head for being deaf and
stupid <g>  now "hallelujah" does in fact bring me to tears on a regular
basis.

i have about 8 tapes worth of live jeff bootlegs, and once i get settled
in my
apt and get my stereo re-set-up, i'd be willing to do some trading.  email
me if you are interested...

 well, that's about it.

also, Hole re-recorded the AWESOME song "Sugar Coma" (which courtney wrote 
after Kurt's death. it is sorta dedicated to him/his memory), and it took the 
form of "Boys on the Radio" on Celebrity Skin. Courtney has said that the 
re-make was inspired by Jeff Buckley and his death. I can still sense the 
hurt courtney felt after kurt's death in "Boys on the Radio" that I felt with 
"Sugar Coma" tho, so im not sure if it was a cover up for not wanting the 
world to know it was about kurt. Those 2 songs are my all-time favorite songs 
ever. Try giving them a listen to. You could find them on napster with no 
problem. If anyone does listen/download them, give me an e-mail and tell me
