I currently have an extra copy of the Liz cover Rolling Stone from 94' and TWO copies of the promo "whip-smart" single (yellow case), these are not the promos with the remix......they are very cool looking, cool pic of Liz inside I'm looking to trade for any cd bootlegs or any good clean cd copies of girlysounds. thanks..... I can't see the hills ever drying for decent mountain biking without having to lug the machine out of a quagmire and cutting the gloop off with a knife (i've had to do this in the past, especially in clay soil). Oh to have more than 2 dry days in a row. Mind you, FL pretty flat, so you might have dry weather, but without hills to climb it's no fun. ..Absolutely no Liz content, sorry. So many people see her as that chick that ripped up the picture of the Pope. That doesn't matter to me. Musically she's amazing. It's great how she doesn't have to have lots of fancy music stuff to get her point across. I really can't wait for the new album. One of my favorite songs of hers is "Red Football" from Universal Mother. She's the goddess. Her and Liz and some others are all goddesses. None is the highest. They're all equal :) Jen "And if there's anything I do it's change and grow. I'm just a living being. God. What's next? Anyone have any thoughts on the breakup? I heard one of the main reasons of the breakup is that they think they have no place in the music world of Britney Spears and N Sync. More of a reason for me not to like bubble gum pop. Jen "And if there's anything I do it's change and grow. I'm just a living being. This was the coolest post I have read in a long time. I love getting into Liz's head about how she wrote stuff. Particularly one of my favorite songs. Kind of like that recent explanation of Salome for Seven Veils, which I cross-posted to the Old 97s list, b/c they have a song about a girl breakin a guy's heart called Salome. ("Salome, untie my hands, cause I'll find another lady, and you'll wreck another man.") Good stuff. That's when the big Christmas titles are released, the ones the labels expect to sell 2 or 3 million copies. It's unusual for a "thinking person's" album to come out between October and December, unless the label thinks there's a huge demand out there for it. Does anyone else out there think it would be unusual for Capitol to release Liz's new disc when it would be competing for attention with all sorts of Greatest Hits titles as well as the latest boygroups and Mariah clones? I'm guessing February, 2001, but I hope I'm wrong. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 21:24:57 -0700 From: Carter C Subject: Re: support-system-digest V3 #140 > That's also when > Phair will hit the road again, touring to support the disc. > ok...now I'm hard. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V3 #141 ************************************
