I need anyone who has corel china/dishes!!!! >> HMMMMMMMM...............did go to Ebay or Support System? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 May 2000 00:19:52 -0400 From: Valerie Barry Subject: may i suggest... hi all... since i get much of my recent music knowledge from the fine denizens of this list, i thought i'd share one of my favorite new discoveries...alejandro escovedo. he's been around forever (hung out with old school punk rockers, now is more in the "americana" scene but still does a damn fine stooges cover), has played with several bands and enjoys critical and cult, if not commercial, success. his current lineup includes a cello player, which clinches the whole thing. he's an amazing lyricist, and seeing one of their live shows can remind you how live music is supposed to be performed. i saw him in january and also two nights ago...played to fifty people like they were playing to 1000, when the power on stage went out during the second encore, they shrugged, came down to the floor and played an acoustic set that seemed like it should have been around a campfire. nice guys, we hung out after the show. and hey, the man likes liz...the band is playing tampa and orlando this weekend, look for them in your hometown (tour dates available at www.alejandroescovedo.com, or something of the sort) ! shelly from the northwest...where are you? also, i'll be in san francisco and san jose next week...anybody there? and, i never knew the two-finger rock concert thing was called the goat sign...and the reason i can't leave this list was perfectly embodied by the member who shared the pagan history and evolution of said sign...where else but in this strange melting pot of liz fans could i glean such obscure knowledge? *sigh* np: the buzz of my computer and scary noises in my condo...god i hope it's just the dishwasher...ok, no axe murderers present. xo...valerie ******************************************* for some reason, this absolutely slayed me today when i read it: I believe millions of people are better off today than they would have been if WalMart had never existed. - - Sam Walton ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V3 #134 ************************************
