Hey everyone, I'm just writing to try and track someone down that made girlysounds tapes for me about a year ago..... Her name is Stacy (I'm almost positive her last name is Wirth), and I told her it would be a while before I could make her some Tori tapes in return because I didn't have a stereo at the time. Anyway, they're finally done, and I think I lost her address, so if Stacy still belongs to this list, please e mail me!!! Thanks, Jackie ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 May 2000 20:59:09 -0400 From: "kinney sleater" Subject: Actual Liz Content! Some recently discovered Liz info. It's not NEW, but it's the first I've seen of it anyway: First, an article that basically shows what can happen when the 'bad words' argument is turned around on people who think they know them when they see them: http://www-stu.calvin.edu/chimes/990423/news/news4.html Second, a series of photographs from a tv show (or something like that): http://www.thenightshow.com/liz.html Lastly, a picture of poor Liz, having to pose with a disc jockey: http://wber.monroe.edu/gallery/lizphair.html And one other thing related to the dicscussions of the recent list drop-outs. I'm not taking sides here, but I don't recall any of them saying they were dropping out because people posted about other bands or artists. All they seemed to say was that many postings were ugly and pointless, so they were opting not to spend their time scanning through the useless, or brutal posts, just to find the occasionally interesting messages. Some people have complained about other artists being talked about until they got sick of them, but these recent notes have not complained about that. It wouldn't kill people to look for and post some Liz news occasionally. But I'm really not trying to start a thread here. I just think the remaining list members should think about what the complainers are saying, and consider keeping their posts to either Liz-related, or off-topic posts that are somehow worth other people's time. Carrying on private flame wars on a public message board is not a good thing to do. Anyway, enjoy the article and the pictures. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 May 2000 21:50:05 EDT From: AWeiss4338@aol.com Subject: Re: Actual Liz Content! Calvin College, where the Liz article comes from is a small Christian College I think in the Midwest, that's why much is made of Morality and Decency.
