If anyone is either looking for a blast from the past (an era of music which contained the likes of Veruca Salt, THe Breeders, Elastica and Juliana Hatfield) Might I suggest you pick up or dust off a copy of THE MURMURS self-titled CD (1994). They are an absolutely incredible duo and I think (judging by the tastes on this list - diverse as they may be) any one of you would thouroughly enjoy it, if you haven't been already. They are absolutely incredibly beautiful singer/songwriters - who, like Liz, deserve much more credit for their perfect acoustic/rock songs. You are correct -- Liz is on Capitol and has been for nearly a year now. When Matador and Capitol parted ways last year, Matador retained all of their artists and the rights to their recordings, except for Liz, whose back catalogue is now owned by Capitol and who is now signed to them exclusively. The one part that really sucks is when Capitol took over Liz's catalogue, they decided to let both _Juvenilia_ and the "Supernova" CD single fall out of print. Everything else is still available, though.
