I think she's currently having problems with her record company....Another one ???? Tracy's debut album "The Burdens Of Being Upright" is one of the most solid albums of the '90s....IMO.... Juliana Hatfield has 2 new cds coming out in April. A solo album and another one under the name of Juliana's Pony (which is supposed to be "rockier"...) The Rounder Records website has a little "advertisement" for both of them. Also, don't forget the new Blake Babies cd coming out soon. IMO, they're one of the most interesting small alternative bands from the late '80s... Take care ! Lewinsky on the cover. One's a tiny photo between photos of Shirley Manson and Sarah MacLachlan. The other's a self-portrait in which we're looking down at Liz, with a really nice shot of her cleavage, which she loves to show off. She's also wearing some hot pinkish lipstick, and there's some weird stuff on the ground next to her. The second photo takes up a full page. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! STP was always pushing new ground and his solo "12 Bar Blues" had sweet lyrics. The music was different but cool. I know he's had his drug problems, but he's a hell of a musician. I threw in the CD myself and listened to it, and looked at the pictures. Man, how time flies........ As for the subject of if Liz's new album coming out in summer is out of the question....probably. I would say maybe late summer at the earliest. It probably depends if she's found a producer as of yet. It would be nice if it would come out on or around the 2 year anniversary of WCSE's release. Don't panic...there will be some Liz content later on, I'm sure it'll make Paige jealous. Sorry sweetie! :) *sigh* I went to the Islands of Adventure yesterday and had a blast. It's definitely a lot better than the Universal Studios theme park, so if anyone does come to Orlando, FL, make sure to include Islands of Adventure as a park to visit. A MUST! I loved the Jurassic Park ride and got soaked during the Bluto's white water raft. But anyhoo...don't try the fake Mardi Gras they have, it sucks. All these teenagers in the street catching these beads and what did I get? Five...my goal in life, experience the real Mardi! Hey, that would be a nice idea for a future LizPhest! ;) Ohki...the Liz content: List any songs that best (or closely) describes your siblings. Only Son - for both my older brother and sister, especially with how they've treated me! grr, but I still love them. Girls! Girls! Girls! is definitely for my sister, since she does take advantage of guys. No wonder why this is her most fave Liz song ever. That's all I can think of for now as far as this thread goes. As for the yearbooks thingy, I don't mind people doing self promotion to encourage list members to visit their sites, but to encourage us to visit their eBay auction? A major no-no. I loved KB's story about her cat, I do hope none of my cats will do that. I wish my sister's bitchy cat would die or just run away cuz I cannot stand her. Ugh...but anyways...life is really grand at the moment. :) Katie ();) NP: Sonique "It Feels So Good" __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Album release date May 16 Lable: Beyond Records. Can't remember song or album title, but trust me, this song rocks. Louise is in fine form here, and it's so cool hearing something new from them. Reason for delay: After Nina left the band, Louise thought long and hard about desolving the band, then decided not too. Then she and the new people took a year to record the new album. How do I know this? Wonderful modern rock station in my area has a feature called the Mailbag, which is any cool new songs that come in the mail each day. VS was today's and the DJ talked about the band a bit and said all this. Station in quesiton :WHTG in Eatontown NJ, if your ever around the Jersey shore, tune it in, this is what they play all the time. Liz content, about the same station. They have an ID that goes something like "Offspring, Liz Phair, Smashing Pumkins, Blondie, the tradition continues on WHTG." When your one of the oldest comerical modern rock stations in the country you can say this (16 years). Oh yeah, this was where MTV's Matt Pinfield got his start. He was a wonderful DJ, used to hear him all the time. Divorce Song and Happy. Liz is the only one who has been able to illustrate the complexity of a divorce and blame both sides equally while still staying biased towards her side. Happy has brought back memories of what your parents want for you and the infinite quest to please them with your relationship successes. Which song is least like you? Canary. I wish I could be like Flower, I'd probably have more fun if I didn't have that bothersome conscience. (i personally was shocked to see copies of the girlysound tapes--i think--on sale at ebay for $31.) besides, they're just yearbooks. i don't even want to look at MINE, much less anyone else's. liz phair's would be good for just a quick glance and a few laughs for me, and i'm a huge fan of hers. of course, i'm sure your mileage will vary. alice p.s. i almost said "no offense, but..." up there, but you know what? i find that phrase to usually be more offensive than anything else that follows. why not just say "you've got a big ass" rather than "no offense, but you've got a big ass?"does anyone else feel this way? i think the term "no offense" should be banned from the english language! because if you can't just come right out and say the negative thing that the "no offense" is supposed to smooth over, then maybe you just shouldn't damn well say it. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 15 Mar 2000 20:59:26 -0500 From: Jason Long Subject: Fwd: Message posted to incorrect list address [All messages intended for the list should be sent to , not , which just sends them to me. - JL] From: BeeFly27@aol.com Subject: questions all right i have 2 questions for everyone out there. i am a huge liz fan but i dont own a copy of girlysound *collective gasp from the rest of the list*. i would love to have one. does anyone have a way to sell me a copy. on cd please. just email me and tell me a price for it. and ill email you back for adress. also i keep hearing the exile is a double album. mine is one cd 18 songs. did i get screwed over? am i missing some songs. also i dont have time for the whole pole but i would say if i could only have on song it would me 6'1". ive played that song to convert friends and they were hooked. kim ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 15 Mar 2000 20:01:35 From: Kenneth Lee Subject: Liz Phair is Mesmerizing Hello everyone, Thanks to Sabrina, I have added a new picture on the index page of my Liz site.
