Each set has 3 videos.. Each video has 2 episodes on it - so only 12 episodes have been released thus far. I'm not sure if they'll release the entire series or not. The box sets also come with these cute little My so-called Life trading card things - and there are some music videos on the tapes as well.. Some nice little bonuses. I got both sets for Christmas and have to say that they're WONDERFUL! I've always loved the show, and never get tired of watching it. You can find the box sets at most Suncoast video stores. Also check Musicland or Sam Goody if those are in your area. If there's no luck there, you can always order them off of amazon.com! Byeee!! I mean, I would ASSUME it is a mom who like, hangs out with her kid at soccer games and school functions - and is like, president of the School Parent committee, blah blah blah...but isn't her kid like, 2 years old or something? or 3? That's a tad young for lemonade stands and softball teams - so if anyone can shed some light on what the hell a soccer mom is - lemme know. It sounds like a cool job. I doubt it, but I guess I'm just seriously bummed by the bad news. On the complete flipside, I bet it's a great time to be an Aimee Mann fan. Is this really the most prominent she's ever been????? I'm not an Aimee Mann fan as of just yet, but I'd be interested. Will Liz *ever* be where Aimee is now????????? >sigh<. Therefore we have decided to go ahead with the planning for this years Liz Phest. Allison and I will be taking over the planning this year. I know last year's Liz Phest never got off the ground, but we really want to make this thing happen this summer! We have alot of cool things planned. Here are just some of the Liz-related activities we have come up with so far: - - see the house where Liz grew up in Winnetka, IL - - see Liz's high school, which is right nearby - - a tour of Wicker Park, where Liz lived when she put together EIG - - a tour of the Garfield Park Conservatory, which is where the "Never Said" video was shot - - visit some of the venues that Liz has played in, if people are interested, but Lounge Ax has closed. If people want to, we can go to the Vic or the Metro, or Park West, or the University of Chicago, where she has also played. - - HERE'S THE BIG ONE: go see where Liz actually lives [the key to this one is if Katie Brown would be nice enough to let us know where it is. What do you say Katie? :) Who knows, maybe we will actually catch a glimpse of Liz. ] The next step is the following: We would like anyone who is interested at all in coming to fill out the following questionnaire. Please email the questionnaire along with your answers to ME at cking4h@yahoo.com. Please do NOT post your answers to the list as it will clutter everything up and people will get upset. Please send everything to me. Here is the questionnaire: 1. How interested are you in coming (very, sort of, not sure)? 2. We are looking to plan Liz Phest for June or July. What month would work out best for you, and are there any specific dates that you can NOT come for sure? 3. Do you have any questions for us about Liz Phest, Chicago, or anything else that we can look into? 4. Do you have any suggestions for Liz Phest on what to do, places to see, etc.....? Well, that's it. Remember, if you are interested in coming, please send ME an email with your responses to the above questionnaire. Thanks to everyone in advance. We will wait to plan the actual dates until we find out from everyone when the best time to have the Liz Phest is. With the bad news about the album delay, and the more than likely Liz drought this summer, we think this will be a cool alternative and the next best thing to a new album. With everybody's help, we want to make this a really great event that everyone will enjoy. Thank you for your time. Craig __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? There doesn't seem to be any plan to wrap up the album as yet...<< The more I think about it, this "album delay" doesn't seem all that bad. I mean think about it. First of all, it's only Februaury! Liz probably first went into the studio to do some serious recording at the end of the Lilith tour last August. That was only 6 months ago. Sometimes it can take artists over a year to record an album. Also, take into account that Liz has said she wants this album to be her defining moment, so that means she will probably spend alot of time on it until she feels it is just right. 6 months in the studio is really not a long time if you think about it. Plus, take into consideration that Liz was not recording over all of the holdays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. It's not like the release period of Spring 2000 that was said in AP was official anyways. It was just tentative as of press time, and it was only one magazine that reported it. I say we just give Liz time. (yes I know WCSE took 4 years to release, but to me it was well worth the wait. I thought it was a great album!) I would rather have a quality album that was recorded over a long period than an album that was rushed out in a little over 6 months. Besides, how can you fault anyone for wanting to spend time with their family. That's just my opinion. When I read the news on Ken's site, it seemed like it was being said that the whole album was being shelved or scrapped. Paige's post just makes it seem like they haven't gotten around to finishing the album yet and that they already have a number of tracks recorded. Give it time people! It's only February! You see, I am studying in Italy for a year, and leave in September. I wanted to have some new Liz to bring along!! Well, I hope that if it doesn't come out before then, that she waits until next summer. That would suck for you all, but it would be perfect for me! Don't get me wrong--I'm excited to go to Europe of course, but it would suck to miss out on a Liz tour. Hey, maybe she would come and play in Florence!... Yeah, this does make sense. I think we just got all excited cause of the great AP article and got worked into the proverbial lather. I'm still disappointed, but all that you say makes sense. > When I read the news on Ken's site, it seemed like > it > was being said that the whole album was being > shelved > or scrapped. It's only February! > It just seems like Liz's taking a sabbatical, but it really could go either way. I remember reading sometime something about Liz saying if it ever came to the point where she didn't want to do music, she wouldn't. I think she was pretty juiced up from doing Lilith and still has more to give - so I don't think it's at that point yet. It just was disappointing to hear that the album/any future touring was on hold. Luckily I have Aimee to keep me busy in the meantime! paige- ===== "And tell me, would it kill you would it really spoil everything if you didn't blame yourself do you know what I mean?" - -"Red Vines" __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
