My best friend was conceived at a Grateful Dead concert in the back of a VW van. *laugh* True story, and well...she's a bit crazy, but pretty much in the way of "normal". Yes, isn't RS on the required reading list for organic chemistry classes now? It sure as hell isn't any good as a reference for music, unless you count advertising for poptart bands as a good thing. Yes, even though sperm doesn't last that long in the gonads, they are still generated by an organ that is highly susceptable to damage from chemicals. And if that is damaged/affected, so will the sperm. That's all for today, class. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! I was listening to Aimee's "Deathly" last night and fumbling through the cd book to find out who did the backup vocal on it. I was so surprised I almost pissed in my pants. :JULIANA HATFIELD!!!!! No way!!!!! Why on earth is she doing backup vocals (not that her career is on fire or anything), especially on Aimee's record??? Is there some kind of connection between the two? What has Juliana been up to? I feel kinda bad for her. I was one of those few people who seemed to appreciate her quirky voice and silly lyrics (but only for so long, I only claim to own Become What You Are, which I bought the same day as Exile) and (look what's still in my cd player.........) he he anyways, just wondering about this crazy little fact......... Juliana gave props to Aimee in a couple of different magazines back in '93, and, partly I guess, because Juliana was getting the major label push back then, Aimee invited her to sing on her record "I'm with stupid." Juliana sang backup on two songs, one of which just surfaced on the Cruel Intentions soundtrack. Aimee has said that Juliana has the perfect vibrato-less voice. Then, there's the Boston musician connection and the lady bass player connection. Well I finally heard from the publisher about it. They want me to rewrite the book and then send it to them again for another review. In there comments, I need much more description, among other things. What's cool is that they said the story was good, and original. No one, much less a publisher, has ever said this book was original. That made my day. Yeah, that was a good song, but of course Book of Love had little to do with creating it other than remixing it with one of their own songs. So I guess one could claim that they wrote half of the music, but really, what about the song do you remember, the "Tubular Bells" part or the "Pretty Boys and Pretty Girls" part? I can't remember who composed the tune, but it's the theme music from The Exorcist. You know... how people will join and ask a question we answered a long time ago, and who wants to go thru it again? Well a FAQ would eliminate that. Jase, I'll even write it (HTML and all if you want it posted on the web) for you. The thing is, if we proceed with this, I'll need a brainstorm from list members, because we want this faq to be as thorough as possible. And if you post some frequently asked q's, post the answer too, just in case I'm not teh pillar of knowledge. After all, I'm not. If Jase doesn't want to use them for his SS faq, I'll use the q's for my website's FAQ (http://www.crosswinds.net/~inhiding <-- shamless plug) Yeehaw. Later, Nicole P.S. However, I was looking for Aimee Mann when what to my wondering eyes did appear, than a foul-mouthed Chicagoan, but no tiny reindeer. Yes indeed, after my bitching session in #WCSE and a long-ago byte or so of e-mail to the people at the HSX, Miz Phair was up for trading. Ipso facto, I resolved to buy as many shares as possible and damn the cost! (Got 50,000 at a cost of about 1.2 million) OK. So what, you say? I don't know--I just thought it was highly Liz relevant. Each artist profile has a site link or two, and guess what? Yep, our very own eccentric who's exiled in Netville, the talented and eloquent Meredith Robbins was one of the two sites selected. The other was Aaron Walkers, so go figure. No, Jase, Aimee's not on the HSX. I'll probably wind up writing them about her as well, so rest easy.
