Hey, hey, just wondering if anyone had any opinions on the new....or most recent, anyway...Pavement CD, 'Terror Twilight.' Thanks, Jennifer ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2000 05:47:07 -0800 From: Shelly Subject: Musings... Valerie...I'm thinking it's this whole millenium changevoer that's brought it about, what with all of the "Greatest Songs of the ________(fill-in-the-blank)" being crammed down our hungry little bird throats. It's brought a few songs I'd nearly forgotten back into the forefront. And, you mention Depeche Mode...the compilation 2 disc CD out called The Singles is wonderful...I'm off now to search for my "Pretty In Pink" soundtrack...and that old dusty & probably crappy sounding cassette of a band called Book of Love...ever hear of them? Al...Yes, I was thinking the same, although he was alright pre-drugs/alcoholic rages/jail-stints. David Crosby just struck me as such an odd choice, I mean, sure he's probably a really nice guy & obviously musically talented...but do cocaine/herion/marijuana & whatever else he completely polluted himself with have a half-life that's possibly stored in sperm? Just a thought... ~gunshy~ Shelly NP: VH-1 a.m. videos in the background--Marc Anthony "I Need to Know" *shrug* ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2000 08:35:28 -0600 From: "Morrise, Jason" Subject: various eig versions >>I also have another copy that is light blue >>with a fuzzy red/orange cloud on it (kind of in the middle). >this is what i have. seems tacky as all hell compared to the others >mentioned. now i have to go buy 3 more? argh. argh. okay, from your descriptions, I think you both have the barbie/ken doll cd and don't realize it. it may look like a fuzzy cloud, but that's the cool part, right? because it is supposed to be a barbie-ken-barbie threesome "celebrating" liz. someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but that sounds like the cd I have, and I bought mine in late 1994. jake ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2000 14:27:05 -0500 (EST) From: Laurel Ann Ullman Subject: Re: quick and random The book was not aweful. It was a wonderful account of a man's struggles in life. We need to be giving literature like this a chance, not turning it down because it involves naked "savages" who don't choose to wear clothes. I'm not positive though. I could be wrong. That's happened before. I helped organized the book for Sheryl Crow's b-day this year with the polls being quite popular and got over 100 people participating. I dunno if I could hack the responsibility of putting it together, but just need to scream out the idea. :) *waves to B-day Katie* You still around? :) Katie ();) NP: Tori Amos "Venus: Live, Still Orbiting" ===== ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Drive backwards in the forward lane. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
