I don't know what correlation you could draw by purposely doing that, but I found it interesting. Just in case you didn't know, you should be prepared for some confusion from people who might be visiting it (except for the fact that "Liz Phair" is plastered at the top of the page - but, hey, people are stupid). I never have heard "Blood Keeper" or whatever the song's called, so I don't know if she herself took that into account, but I have wondered it since I saw the quote in someone's signature. Then my friends ask what the hell am I saying and have no idea who the hell Liz Phair is. Oh well...waiting for the response from a friend where I told him I wouldn't sing Flower, but would make a tape. We were talking about tattoos out of the blue and I said I wanted a flower with the phrase: "of a flower" under it. *gulp* I shall see. For some reason when Liz does it it bothers me less than when a rapper or a Mariah Carey or someone else does that it bothers me less. Maybe it's because she gets creative with it, rather than following the exact words of the previous song. Anyone have agree or not? paige- ===== "I had a dream and you were in it. However, when it comes to Blood on the Tracks, it's different because Blood on the Tracks isn't a song, it's just the name of an album Dylan put out that's filled with songs about his estrangement from his wife. So, it's not like a single song phrase or title she's alluding to, it's a whole album. It seems a lot more intricate and complicated this way. Here's mine: 1990-They Eat Their Own (1 hit wonder) 1991-Nirvana, Nevermind 1992-Blind Melon/Social Distortion/Mary's Danis (American Standard) 1993-LIZ, LIZ, LIZ (EIG) 1994-Luna (Bewitched) 1995-Joan Osbourne (Relish) 1996-Sheryl Crowe/Patti Rothberg 1997-Third Eye Blind 1998-LIZ, LIZ, LIZ (WCSE) 1999-Red Hot Chili Peppers(Californication) These guys still make great music! Now, Can somebody give me feedback on the new Third Eye Blind? I finally saw BWP on cable & I was remembering how everybody on the list had something to say about it. I thought it was pretty scary in a subtle way, but then I'm not really into scary movies to begin with. Also, has anybody seen Dogma? I saw it the other night & was totally confused. I guess you had to be Catholic to get it. (Feedback?) Obviously I'm not. But Matt Damon & Ben Affleck were fun to watch anyway! That's It. I'm eagerly awaiting good shows in Providence & new material from LIZ! Pretty sure EIG would have, but I doubt WCSE would. Several punk bands (such as Black Flag and Fear) have reissued their albums only to find a sticker being placed on their covers, even though the records were released before (early '80s) the law, ordinance, whatever was passed to sticker "offensive" albums. How's that? It really depends upon how much driving I'm doing, and how much of my traveling is with my husband. Liz is usually in my stereo in the car, but not the truck...and when hubbies driving, well no Liz. At home not as often, but always at least once on the weekend. *breath* Does that make sense? *laugh* More than once a week, less than once a day. Not even factoring in whether or not someone else has a new release that I can't get out of the stereo in the car...*shrug* Currently it's a dub of Fiona Apple's newest on one side, and Sophie B.
