I think the bottom line is flexibility... With a CD-RW burner, you can still burn your CD-Rs, as well as CD-RWs... And there's a few reasons why people would want to rewrite discs. Off the top of my head.... 1) if you're just transferring data 2) if you're not sure how you want your stuff to be burned 3) if you're working on a major project between home/school/work and burning a disc at each location everyday is req'd 4) if you require a daily backup of your data - 365 CD-Rs per year vs. a set of 5 (so you can rotate)... What's cheaper in that case? Anyways, I've noticed the price of CD-RW discs have dropped quite a bit - I've seen 5-packs being sold for little more than $25 cdn... The only times I've seen CD-Rs being sold between $1-2 is if they don't have any cases.... *shrug* You can certainly just buy CD-Rs, but you could wind up creating a lot of waste in the process... But that's your prerogative. my 2 bits Patrick ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Dec 1999 14:44:54 -0600 From: "Jennifer R Rupe" Subject: Re: Replies >Jennifer wrote: > >> Peter - You are such a sweet boy!
