Subject: BAD MOVIE If anyone hasn't yet seen the Matrix, DON'T!!!! It's the worst fucking movie! People are watching it in my room (I didn't rent it, nor did I have a say in telling the people who DID rent it to rent it... but I let them watch it in my room. They told me I'd like it ... {last time I listen to them...}). I've left about five times for 20 minute periods (I'm exaggerating-- I've left twice for about 20 min. apiece), and teh same thing is STILL happening that was happening in the beginning. Despite popular belief, the special effects suck... anyone with any knowledge of how things work can see right past the damned effects and totally tell they're fake and how they're done, and the acting is terrible. SAVE YOURSELF! See Dogma if you want to see a movie about this ... metaphysical shit. Not that it's even a K. Smith classic, but whatevah... you're better off seeing IT than The Matrix. The Dominatrix. If you subtract "Do" and "in" from Dominatrix, you get Matrix! It's like... Dominatrix = Doin' Matrix. That could be split to even be... "Dominatrix = Doin' ma' trix" (like "Doing my tricks") . Anyway.... I'm obviously obliviously rambling. I like word tricks and semantics (like one of my idols... John Lennon!) Yee haw. Bow wow wow. Umm.... What Was I Really Going To Say? You know, I think Winnie-the-Pooh is misunderstood. It's like... the "new" Winnie-the-Pooh ISN'T what was written and illustrated in the original books. The original books are amazingly witty and crafty. And the artwork is cool, I think. Okay I'm REALLY fucking sick of this Matrix shit on tv. Oh good... saved by the anal roommate! The thing is... I forgot what I was going to say. Hmmm... well I figured out why my roommate REALLY wants to move out. She knows I know. She knows I can see right thru her fucking facade and she feels really uncomfortable around me cuz she knows I see how shallow and messed up she is. And how fake. Hahahahahahaha! I'm going to take over the world! Sorry... it's just that that previous rambling sounded like I was being all... psychotic. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE. Sometimes when I'm stoned, I read certain things in2 the digest. I analyze the people who post. I figure out your personalities (be afraid, be very afraid...) Tonight I just saw something diff'rent in one person's posts. First I thought this person was sketchy... really weird... but now I just think it's intelligence. I'm going to be really ambiguous and annoying and not tell who it is, but it's okay. Well 1st of all, out of 900+ subscribers (and let's figure about 150 of those forgot they subscribed and subbed to some weird email addy that they never check. C'mon, we all have 'em, right? Okay maybe I'm the only one.) Well anyway, how many out of all 750 of you are probably reading my post? I'd reckon... well actually I have no idea. Hmm. HOw the fuck can 900 + people subscribe to this list? Who are the 900 people? 750 according to me. But I decided 16 people subscribe from two addresses, so now it's 734 people. And I don't count me, cuz I'm the one writing, so 733. So how many out of 733 people are reading? And of those, how many care? Okay so anyway, the # of pepole this email is going to effect is minimal, so like... I can be annoying cuz it's not going to annoy alot of people. :) Anyway, Umm... I'm going to go. Or something. BLAHBLAHBLAH. Mmm k I'm going to go. L8R... ^----- That is a joke. - -Nicole * * * * * * * * * * * * "Perfect is a fault, and fault lines change." -R.E.M. The reason that it's written "An Evening With...." is so that you don't end up having Liz Phair written a couple times on the spine and the cover. Or we could have: Liz Phair in An Evening With Liz Phair. Featuring: Liz Phair playing the role of Liz Phair. Well that's enough out of me. I hope you are using a font where all those Liz Phair's line up. I love that. Gabe __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thousands of Stores. Millions of Products. I have a feeling that liz will probably end up putting the majority of the songs off girlysounds out as a studio release at some point, even if it's just as a b-side, but she may update them a little bit to fit her current moods a little better. has anyone heard macy gray yet? I would strongly recommend her to anyone who likes r&b soul with electronic flavor (kinda in the vein of portishead). I don't really know how else to describe it, and its only parts of one or two tracks that reminds me of portishead, but she has some great grooves and cool lyrics. jake __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? The Lounge Ax, which was the site of Liz's solo benefit show in Chicago earlier this year, is closing it's doors. To read the full article, go here: http://metromix.com/top/1,1419,M-Metromix-Music-ctcom!ArticleDetail-5971,00.html It does sadden me to see it go because it was the site of my first ever Liz show and encounter with her on March 14 of this year. I had a blast at the show, and met alot of cool people that weekend. I also believe the Lounge Ax was the site of Liz's first ever live performance in January of 1993 BEFORE the release of Exile in Guyville. I was only there once, but I loved the venue. I don't know, it had a certain ambience to it. It was the perfect place to see a concert, especially Liz, because it was such a small and intimate place. If I remember right, it only held about 300 crammed in people. I'll be sad to see it go. Hopefully they can find a place to relocate to. This is old news about _whitechocolatespaceegg_, before it was even known as such. Tommy Furar played on some of the material Liz produced herself in Chicago after abandoning the early sessions with Scott Litt in 1996. None of the material he played on made the cut for the album, however, although perhaps some of it is on the WCSE Sessions discs, for which we don't know full musician and production credits. The last part about Lupin Blast is a little confusing. There is no one named "Lupin Blast" -- it should read "Blast of the Lupins." "Blast" is an alias for Jason Chasko, who did play on and produce some of the WCSE tracks with Liz.
